BuddhiBox Monthly Subscription Review – October 2015 Box
When I was a young girl I was not 100% on how puberty worked and as all my friends were growing out and maturing in the chest region, I stay relatively flat chested. I had many jokes headed my way and wondered if I would ever be like my breast lucky friends. As luck would have it, in my early 20’s my metabolism balanced out and I began to gain weight … in my breasts! I apparently gain weight in the chest first, then the rear and then the fat goes where ever it wants.
Jason and I are similar to many other households in that we have been personally affected by breast cancer and breast issues. During all those days of wishing it never occurred to me that breasts come with their own set of issues. I have had a couple family members fight the various stages of cancer and I have been affected by benign lumps that have their own name of Fibrocystic Breast Disease. The lumps I have generally do not turn to cancer, but each lump gets me worried because breast cancer runs heavily in my family.
October is an important month for our household so when I received the October 2015 BuddhiBox my heart was filled with joy. Earlier in the year, I had the opportunity to review previous boxes (click here) and they are always thoughtful and thought-provoking. The message is always one of compassion, and understanding and living a pure life.
I surprised when I opened the box and instead of the typical bright green tissue paper again I was greeted with a bright pink paper and found myself even more eager than usual to tear the paper and delve into the box. This month came with 3 cardboard information cards that are in full color and on thick glossy card stock. The first card was the Yoga pose of “Heart Chakra Pose” that shows the pose in full color, as well as the benefits about the pose with a pick border. These pose cards are made especially for BuddhiBox. There is a recipe for a “Benihana’s Fried Rice with Tofu” that is made using 12 ingredients that is basically a vegetarian fried rice that uses Sriracha to add taste. The final information card included was a box content listing and on the other side the following quote:
When you seek love with all you heart, you shall find its echoes in the Universe – Rumi
I have included reviews of the items, included in the box were the following items:
People Towels – Towel Set with Eco Sack – $8.00: Jason’s number one complaint is that I use A LOT of paper towels, while he was Eco-consciencely taught to use cloth instead and when possible. I am slowly learning this new habit and these towels will help me achieve this goal. I received two towels called “Seeds of Change” and “Love Towel“. These 100% certified organic fair trade cotton hand towels are printed with dyes that are machine washable and can be clipped to your belt, water bottle and even backpack. As a bonus the towels were neatly stored in a Eco-Sack to keep them clean and safe until use.
Optimal Health Oil – Thieves Blend – $10.00: This is handmade Thieves Blend. This comes in a spray bottle and has a hint of cinnamon and clove when I smell it. This blend has a combination of cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, rosemary and lemon to name a few. This blend when used in your environment kills 99.96% of airborne bacteria.
In Light & Love Candle – Intention Candle – $12.00: First thing I have to share is how good this candle smells – like a floral vine on a sunny breezy day. When I looked at the ingredients I knew why this all natural soy wax candle smelled so good, as it has lavender, pink magenta blossom, vanilla and coconut essential oils. The magenta comes through to create the feeling of a spring day.
Jiva Clothing – Sweat Wicking Headband – $10.00: This is a sweat wicking headband that measures 5″ in the front and 2″ in back. This headband contains the patented FreshFit and UltraDry Technology which means that it will collect your sweat before it collects on your head.
Energy Muse – Chakra Healing Bag – $19.99: These 7 Chakra stones come packed in a organza bag for easy storage. The bag includes one stone per chakra and include 1. Smoke Quartz 2. Carnelian 3. Citrine 4. Aventurine 5. Sodalite 6. Amethyst and 7. Quartz Crystal. These are made in the United States and their use can help you feel connected, balanced and grounded.
Bonus Item: Circuelle Foundation – Breast Ritual Creme – $0 with $6.75 shipping: This 15ml tube is a breast crème that can assist in the detection of anything unusual on your breasts as well has making hand movement around the breast easier and assists in the ability to feel underneath skin. If you are interested, this is available on their website for zero cost with $6.75 shipping.
