Ozeri Green Earth Pan Review

Ozeri – Green Earth Pan Review and Giveaway

Ozeri Green Earth PanI have discovered as I have been learning to cook that it is not preferable to cook everything in the same pan, despite the ease of dishes with this scenario. Recently we received a very belated housewarming gift (over 3 years later) of an entire set of pots and pans. This set included a small pan, and a large as well as 3 pots ranging in size from super small to spaghetti size, as well as included lids. This is the only official “set” we have and other pans and pots are a Hodge-podge mix of hand me downs.

Now, I have discovered as I have been learning to cook that it is not preferable to cook everything in the same pan, despite the ease of dishes with this scenario. The need has finally arisen that we need more pans as the cooking competence level increases in this house.

Ozeri is a specialty manufacturer of digital lifestyle products of the modern homes, and I was recently sent their “8” Green Earth Pan” for review. This pan features Greblon which is a 100% PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) and PFOA ( Perfluorooctanoic Acid) free ceramic nonstick material from Germany. The Green Pan has a textured cooking surface, that reminded me of a honeycomb pattern, that provides airflow for your food while you cook. This is an induction stove save and is oven safe up to 180 degrees Celsius/356 degrees Fahrenheit.

Front and Back Ozeri Green Earth 8' frying panI wanted to give the  “8” Green Earth Pan” a test run, so I decided to make a couple scrambled eggs. I made 3 eggs and once scrambled and placed in the pan, they fit fell. I had read other reviews that mentioned that this pan works best when you use it at low to medium heat, so that is what I did – a medium heat. It was also recommended to season the pan with 1/4 teaspoon of oil, and NOT to use non stick spray. I used butter in my eggs and other than that, there was nothing else non-stick used and as my eggs cooked they came off the pan fluffy and easy! Once I had finished cooking, you could barely tell I used the pan in the first place.

Eggs Easy off and finished result from Ozeri PanThis Ozeri Green Pan is available in 8″ (20cm), 10″ (26cm) and 12″ (30cm) and contains no heavy metals or chemicals.

As I continue learning about cooking and proper cooking techniques I am happy that there are companies such as Ozeri who are remaking kitchen essentials in a safe and healthy way. Now I I could get used to the added dishes cooking good food creates I would be on to something. I encourage you to give this pan a look – we all need more kitchen pots and pans.

In a non-stick pan? My fav thing? Eggs. Your eggs just turn out so much easier in a non-stick pan. Oh and you can’t do crepes very well without one!

I cook a lot on low to medium heat so this pan is ideal for me! The fact that it has the honeycombs on the bottom would definitely support even heating cooking. My first try in this pan would have to be pancakes, a sure winner for sure! But to just have a pan that cooks well on medium heat makes for a great juicy steak, pork chops and all the goodies to go with it all in one pan! No sticking and easy clean up, I’m in!

I love cooking, so to choose one favorite is difficult! We eat a lot of mexican food especially burritos here, so I guess most common is meat for burritos and tacos, my favorite to smell is probably garlic and olive oil for pastas mmmmmmm

I love cooking everything – I don’t think I could narrow it down to a favorite item. Maybe frying up onions and mushroom for steak – Or browning meat before cooking 🙂
