Goodie Girl: 2015 Holiday Goodie Bag Giveaway!!!

Jason and I are fans of a good cookie and lucky for us I get to sample and try a fair amount of cookies in a wide variety of flavors. Back in July 2015 I reviewed a cookie company that is based out of the Tribeca Neighborhood in New York City. This company was called Goodie Girl and they were easily one of the better cookies we sample.

The thing that was special about Goodie Girl cookies is that they are gluten-free, but do not taste gluten-free. I have discovered that many items that are gluten-free and unfortunately have a really unpleasant after taste. The thing that got my attention about Goodie Girl is that they are all the cookies we know and love but are safe for those with gluten issues and do not have that after taste. I would have to say that my favorite cookie is the Mint Slims, the taste is identical to the yearly Girl Scout treat. My second favorite was the Chocolate Chip and it reminded me of a classic chocolate chip cookie and was similar in taste to Famous Amos cookies.

Goodie Girl Cookies come in 5 different flavors: Crunchy Midnight Brownie – which is a chocolate cookie that tastes just like a brownie, Goodie Girl Mint Slims – which are identical to Thin Mints but gluten-free, Crispy Oatmeal Raisin – this is a good old fashion oatmeal raisin cookie, Crunchy Chaos – this is a crunchy cookie that has toffee chunks throughout and Quinoa Chocolate Chip – again another classic cookie, this time chocolate chip made with quinoa. Also available are “Go Pack’s”, which are mini bags for on the go that come in the Midnight Brownie and Quinoa Chocolate Chip flavors.

I love to make a “log” cake.. a jelly roll cake, covered with chocolate frosting to look like a log! Filled with ganache or whipped cream! YUM. I do not make too many cookies. The funny thing is my family is not really a sweet tooth one. I did the cookie thing in the past and they were where not eaten much, so I had far far too many left over!
