Color Couture: Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book Review + Giveaway

Since I spend 85% of my time on my computer either writing, creating, editing or pitching, my comfort is a very important component of my day.

I would love to sit here and tell that this is new, but I have never been one for what is considered couture clothing. I am more like the character in The Devil Wear Prada before her grand Vogue makeover. I often wish I had occasions to wear these grand clothes to.

When I received the Color Couture: Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book Artist’s Edition by Blue Star Premier, I saw all the couture clothing that I dream of one day wearing.

Color Couture: Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book Artist’s Edition by Blue Star Premier contains an assortment of 36 adorned dancers wearing cosmic costumes, musically-inspired attire, and edible/sweet inspired outfits!

Designs range in complexity from beginner to expert-level, are printed large format paper. Since each image is hand-drawn and exquisitely detailed, you get a great sense of this on the runway. The designs range in complexity from beginner to expert-level throughout the book, and are all wonderfully details.

This book from the Artist’s Collection, which means that it is bound like a traditional book, but has perforated pages for easy removal. The paper is heavyweight and artist-grade that is thick and allows for experimentation with different coloring media. The overall size of the book is larger as well measuring 9 x 12.

If you want the book to lie flat you can open the book and press down on the interior spine, which will then create a crease that will let the book be flat. Otherwise the book will not stay open on its own and you will have to either weigh the opposite down while coloring.

The paper in this coloring book is high quality and once complete would make a great framed piece – especially once colored, in a sewing room. I would still recommend placing a piece of paper under the page to be colored to avoid bleeding through to other pages. This also will assist in the prevention of creating impressions on the following pages.

This book would make a great gift for anyone in the fashion or design field, and people interested in a relaxing hobby. If you are looking for a high quality coloring book that has different images than they typical ones, this is the book for you!
