YogDev: Yoga Wheel Review

YogDev: Yoga Wheel Review + Giveaway

yoga-dev-yoga-wheelThere is something I have noticed as I have aged – I get lower back pain more often than I would like. While I am yet to isolate the issue, I think it is the way I sit and the way I sleep at night. After a certain time in one position I find that I have a lower back pain. The one thing that helps is stretching the lower back, but getting the right angle and the right stretch can be difficult.

Since this seems to be more of problem with more natural solutions needed to solve, I have begun looking for alternatives and items that will help me optimize my stretch and my lower back.

I often mention that timing is everything and when I was recently approached by YogDev about their Yoga Wheel I thought outside the box and gave it a try for my sore back.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of YogDev. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

I received a YogDev Yoga Wheel in white/grey to review.

yoga-dev-positionsWhile I am not 100% versed in the Yoga Wheel, it took very little effort to see that this wheel is meant to be used to help the user get into the Dharma yoga wheel poses, balancing and for general yoga as well as back relief. There is an enclosed flyer that gives 15 poses that this wheel can be used with.

yogdev-in-packageI was surprised when I saw the wheel since I was not sure the exact size and shipment specs. I was pleasantly surprised when the box came and it was of a reasonable size. The wheel is made of a high-quality plastic that is hard and can support up to 300 lbs, and users of 5′ and 6’5″ in height

The Yoga Wheel has a scent free, and antibacterial rubber TPE padding that is used as the outside and acts as a grippable surface that they wheel can use on the ground. I can tell you that this is MUCH lighter than I expected it to be and measures in at 12” diameter and 5” thick, and stores vertical or flat.

The first time I used this I was a little apprehensive, but within moments felt relief in my back, while getting the best stretch I have gotten in quite a while. It is important to note that you get an okay from a medical practitioner before using a YogDev Yoga Wheel to help manage back pain.

I don’t have a favorite yoga product. I like that this product can be used with many different yoga poses.

I love my yoga mat – It’s my favorite color and is very comfortable. I love this product because it just looks like it would ease back pain with a few simple moves!

I like yoga blocks because I’m not flexible. This would help because I’m not flexible.

My favorite yoga product is my yoga mat, something that enables me to perform on my hard floors. I am not very familiar with the yoga wheel, but it looks like something I could utilize on a daily basis. 🙂 Thank you,

The yoga mat is the best. I think I just like it the best because it keeps a barrier between myself and a floor–especially in a studio.

Yoga toes are awesome. What other way are you going to pamper your toes like that?
