Stampin’ Up – Oh Happy Day Card Kit – Review and Giveaway
I have noticed that as we get older events are brushed under the rug, and the dates that were once special no longer hold the same reverence.
The first time I realized this was in my mid-30’s and it was my birthday. I remembered days when I received cards in the mail, and phone calls from everyone in my phone list, and I noted that that birthday was different. It seems fitting that since I am all about nostalgia and celebration that I acknowledge dates otherwise pushed aside.
Since I am a traditional girl, I love to send cards to loved ones for holidays and events, and even my neighbors have received cards for their special days. When I saw the Oh Happy Day Card Kit I knew it would be the perfect for the occasions that I want to commemorate.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Stampin’ Up, but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
The Oh Happy Day Card Kit allows you to make 20 cards that range from a larger note card to a matchbook style card. The versatility and size variations aids in making them appropriate for almost any occasion.

* 20 card bases and coordinating envelopes
* Giftable kraft box
* Die-cut glittered chipboard shapes
* Embossed sheets
* Printed die-cut images
* Die-cut gold foil sheet
* Die-cut white sheets
* Basic Black Archival Stampin’ Spot

The stamp set included is not only versatile and are appropriate for almost any occasion. Covering greetings as simple as hello to as loving as hearts and as difficult as missing someone. I recently discovered that to keep cleanup easy baby wipes can be used to clean the surface of the stamps. Since I was using black ink, this does have a tendency to stay on the stamp but the wipes seemed to clean them of the residual ink that was left over.
The kit is a combination of punch-outs, and detailed die-cuts, with areas to stamp greetings that when put together creates a personalized hand-made card. I stamped about half the cards with greetings and left the other half blank so that I can stamp them later with the appropriate message.
This kit is nothing short of versatile and happy. I love to know that the recipient of my cards smile, and when I send one of these I know that is exactly what will happen. This was a simple kit, that made me smile while I was compiling the parts.
