Pet Gift Box – Cat – Subscription Box – January 2016 Review
There is no denying that we are a football home. From our San Diego Charger themed decorations to what team we root for. I never imagined that I would care much about football much less about what the result of the Super Bowl turns out to be. The big news for San Diego fans is that despite much concern, many comments and discussions to the contrary, the Chargers will be in San Diego for the 2016 season. This came as a collective exhale from the cities residents, and while 2016 is figured out, the future is still up in air for the Chargers.
Since I was in San Diego, the NFL Owners was shown and updated – this put me on edge until the end. The unintended result was that the stress i was feeling was passed on to the cats. I did not realize the undo stress they were also feeling while i was on edge. It got me thinking that despite my excitement, at times the yelling “touchdown” and the screaming about an interception can cause animals undo stress due to not knowing if the yelling is at them or the box in front of them.
Despite the momentary fear that I might put in the cats, I am still a yelling proud San Diego Fan. In this months PetGiftBox they celebrate that pigskin tradition that is celebrated over 16 Sunday’s a year.

Pets First NFL Football $5.99 – New England Patriots: I will be honest when I saw I wish that I was sent a San Diego Charger cat nip filled football. That being said, I loved this little football and as you can see Magee was interested.
Tailgating Treats by Butchers Block Pet Treats– $8.99: These are specially made Tailgating Treats for Pet Gift Box by Butchers Block Pet Treats. These appear to be freeze-dried and are 100% beef lung. Born and raised in the USA they are USDA certified beef. I did give these to Maggee and she seemed to like them. although I noted that some pieces were harder than others. I tried to avoid the super hard pieces as I did not want her to hurt herself. That being said, she loved each one I gave her and she actually at our of my hand.
Savvy Tabby – Tickle Kitties – $2.50: Let me just start this by saying that my Murfee loves feathers. One of his favorite things to do is to groom the feathers until they are sopping wet versions of what they once were. This toy makes noise and has a bell, which in Murfee world is the closest thing to perfection in a toy that there is.
Spot – Wool Pom Poms – $4.40: I can not tell you how much Maggee loves to pounce around and chase these type toys. She has learned she can toss them in the air and depending on her paw action it will go right or left. This simple action can literally amuse her in half hour blocks throughout the night. I love that these do not have a bell in them, so they can have these all the time. The bell versions tend to keep the humans awake at night. These balls are 1 1/2 inch wide, and made with 100% wool yarn.
This box never disappoints and the items are always thoughtfully chosen and put together in a way that makes the box thematic. Not only do the cats love this box, the products are items that I would purchase for them if I was in the stores. This box was pulled together this month with football season in mind and everything matched that overall theme! I love that each month the box is addressed to Maggee and Murfee.
