Newmans AssortmentOne of the best things about being a blogger is when I am sent products that I otherwise would not have tried.

A wonderful example of this is Newman’s Own. Last year I had the opportunity to sample and review a wide variety of their products. Since then I have seeked out Newman’s in my local stores, and am determined to sample everything they have to offer.

Since I have began this quest I have developed some favorites, that also happen to make the perfect back to school snacks. Newman’s Own Organic has a wide range of products that go from salty, sweet and over to sour. As a bonus and in addition Newman’s Own goodness extends beyond just food and into the charitable world.

The  products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Newman’s Own. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

I recently received a box of Newman’s Own Organic products for review, and I can honestly say that this was my first time trying many of these items and I found some real good treats in the box. Here are some of the contents:

Dried ApplesDried Apples: I have to admit that I am loving dried fruit. One of my favorites is dried apples, and I have even attempted making my own (I will save that for a separate blog post). These are USDA Organic, Gluten-Free, Peanut and Tree Nut-Free. These are simplicity at its finest since all these are is Organic Dried Apple Rings. These are soft and a bit on the chewy side so if you like crisper fruit, this may not be the right snack. That being said, I blinked and the bag was gone so that should tell you how I felt about this snack.

Sour TwistsLicorice Twists: I have never been a super fan of licorice but I changed my opinion when I tried Newman’s  Sour Apple, Sour Apricot and Sour Cherry. At only five twists per package I always finding myself wanting more.

Chocolate Chip CookiesChocolate Chip Cookies: The closest way I can describe these are they are traditional chocolate chip cookies that are also have a crunch. Once I opened the bag, it was by the grace of the cookie gods that I did not eat the entire bag, although I was well on my way. I can tell you even the crumbs are good.

Chocolate Alphabet CookiesChocolate Alphabet Cookies: Yea, well sadly the cookie gods were not looking positively on me for this one because in the short 8 hours that Jason was at work, these disappeared! These remind me of the cookie you typically would find with cream in the middle minus the cream. I loved spelling words out with each handful too!

Newmans Own Butter PopcornPop’s Corn – Butter: One of my favorite things to do is pull out the cinnamon/sugar mixture and douse (mix) the popcorn in it. I will say that a good amount is needed to get the flavor but it is well worth it. This makes for a good snack and an indulgent dessert.. next time I go for melted dark chocolate on the top.

Pretzel SticksPretzels: I have always been a fan of  pretzels and these Newman’s Own pretzels are tasty and crunchy with a perfect amount of saltiness. These are made with organic wheat flour with certified organic ingredients and are low in fat. These are traditional, crunchy, salty pretzel sticks for satisfying snacking any time. I loved these sticks and loved them even more with peanut butter. Pure yum!

Newman’s Own Organic was began under the umbrella of Newman’s Own products by founder Paul Newman’s daughter. Today Newman’s Own and Newman’s Own Organic has over 200 products in over 20 categories ranging from frozen, cookies, dressings, to candy.

I can honestly say that I love everything I have tried and I know you will love it too!
