My Paper Pumpkin August 2015 Kit Review and Giveaway
This past holiday season we were at our cousins house, as he has recently taken over as official Christmas Eve host. While we were getting drinks I looked up and discovered the cutest tins with chalk writing announcing its contents. I mentioned that I loved the kitchen decorations and the hostess mentioned she was loving the chalk look and she wanted to expand upon it. When I received the August My Paper Pumpkin kit I was immediately brought back to that conversation.
I had the chance to review My Paper Pumpkin’s kit box’s previous months box (click here). I was thrilled to be given the chance to review this months box as well. The theme for August was called “Chalk It Up To Love”.
The idea of this months kit is that you can create different cards with coordinating box. This makes wrapping a small gift easy as well as elegant. There are also coordinating cards that you can make, and I can tell you these are a cute addition.
The 10 by 6.5 size box that it comes in is packed with the items you need to complete the project for the month. Included in this months box were the following:
- Chalk It Up To Love Photopolymer Stamp Set
- Whisper White Classic Stamping Spot Ink
- 3 Gold Foil Polka Dot Boxes
- 6 Card Bases (3 Ea. of 2 designs)
- 6 Vanilla Envelopes
- 2 sheets of die-cut banners
- 3 sheets of die-cut flowers
- 1 sheet of die-cut fringe
- 3 sheet of chalkboard tags
- 2 yards of black ribbon
- 1 sheet of dimensional double-sided stickers
- 1 sheet of Adhesive Strips
Included with each box is not only written instructions with photos but there is an instructional video available (online) to help you complete the project each month.
This months stamp choice can be used for a wedding, engagement, celebration, anniversary, as well as the happy occasions. The flexibility and versatility with the 7 polymer stamps included makes this kit usable for all the above occasions and beyond. The stamps include “with love”, “for you”, “with sympathy”, a squiggly circle, “hello” as well as a couple of decorative squiggles.
Included was a stamp pad in Whisper White – a very bright and snow-white color, in combination with the paper and the stamps. The cards included are pink with gold ribbons and gold and white stripes. The boxes included are white with gold dots throughout the entire box. This kit also comes with pink flowers and an assortment of black tags that can be stamped on. Also included is black fringe and black ribbon to add a pop of texture to the enclosed projects.
The chalk it up theme of this month is not only elegant, clean but timely and classic perfect for any occasion!
My Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up boxes are available for $19.95/month, $59.85/3 months, $113.70/6 months and $215.40/12 months and the shipping is included in the cost. The 6-month is a total savings of about $6, about a $1 a month savings and the 12-month is total savings of about $24, so about a $2 a month savings thus ends up totaling the amount of receiving one kit free.
