Joining the Evolution of Shaving with the Legacy Shave Kit – A Review & Giveaway

Let’s be honest, shopping for men can be difficult. When asked what gifts a man would like, often times you get a grunt or a moan of “I dunno”.
This gift giving predicament has been in my life since I was young girl. Each Father’s Day I would agonize and search for the perfect gift. I wanted a gift that my father would love, use and appreciate. Once I got older, I thought when I got married these gifts for men would be easier – I was wrong.
I am lucky though, my husband is very flexible and is always willing to try something new. Giving his easy going nature about trying things, even if they are gifts, when I saw that Legacy Shave had a gift set with their Evolution Brush, I knew this would be the gift that he would love, use and appreciate.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Legacy Shave. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
I received a Legacy Shave Gift Set that will included: Legacy Shave Evolution Brush, Legacy Shave Pre-Shave Oil, Legacy Shave After Shave Balm and Legacy Shave premium heavy weight 5 blade razor with a trimmer blade and lubricating strip.

The first step in shaving is getting your face prepped and ready, which means a lubricant of some sort. As it happens, that is where the Legacy Shave Evolution Brush comes in. This is a shaving brush that fits on foam or gel cans of shaving cream. Since the brush works with either shaving Gel or Foam that means you can use any brand of cream, or use the wayward ones you have in your home (wait! Is that only us?!). I will warn you do NOT shake your shaving can before attaching or you will end up with a mess (believe me, I had shaving cream everywhere!)

The brush was easy to use and once attached to the can, only needed a quick press, and circular motion on surface to be shaved. Once used, it rinse off easily and is generally dried between uses. It stores upright, since the can is upright, but takes no more than a bit more space on the top in your cabinet.

The included Legacy Shave Blade Razor is a premium heavy weight 5 razor with a trimmer blade and lubricating strip. It was noted that this was not as sharp as other razors but this is not to say it was not sharp. It still was able to shave and provide a clean, close shave.

Also included is a Legacy Shave Pre-Shave Oil, which was easy to use and made the surface to shave a bit easier. The Legacy Shave After Shave Balm is soothing and does not leave a residue on the shaved surface.
Overall this is an great set that any man (or woman) would love, use and appreciate! If you are looking for the perfect gift that you have been looking for!

I really don’t deal with holiday stress too well. The best I can do for myself and everyone around me is not to strive for Pinterest perfection. I would rather have peaceful family time than to have everything turn out exactly as I pictured it in my head. It has taken me many stressed out holidays to chill out though.
I shop all year round for the holidays. Being prepared helps with the stress,
I try to carve out about a half hour if possible for knitting or reading. I also do yoga to calm down and relax.
