KitNipBox Subscription Box- May Review

KitNip Subscription Box – May ReviewKitNip Box May 2015If you know me/us or have read this blog in the past you probably know how much I/we love our Muggles. Our two Muggles are also the most playful cats we know or have been around. We thought that by now the energy levels in the house would diminish as kitten-hood gets further from them, but that is not the case. Murfee especially acts like he did at 9 weeks old, which makes for an always awake, parkouring, trouble causing combination of a cat. Maggee is starting to show signs of slowing, except where treats and toys are concerned.

The bonus for us is that with all the energy comes many fun moments to play with them, which we do quite often. When the cats were little we read that it was important to give indoor cats as much stimulation as possible since they are stuck inside and unable to explore outside. We really took this to heart as pet owners and the result is a feline friendly home that has sleeping spots, scratch spots (homemade in some cases) and more toys than 2 cats ever would need.

Being a review blogger gives me chances to review monthly gift box subscriptions, including this months KitNipBox. The theme for this month is “Meow Vegas” and they teamed up with Noahs Animal House of Las Vegas to donate a portion of their May proceeds to assist on the grounds of Nevada’s largest crisis shelter.

There were a lot of goodies in this months KitNipBox Multiple Cat Box, including the following:

Pet Crinkle Toy KitNipBox May

Knight Pet Crinkle Toy – $13.58 – Our cats love crinkle items, and never have I seen such alert eyes as when they hear they tell tale crinkle of toys. This was a hit with the Muggles!

Cattit KitNipBox MayCatit Dental Chew Toy – $14.15 – The first thing that I noticed about this toy was the colors, which would be a little odd other than this happen to be yellow and blue which is 2 of the houses favorite colors. Mag’s liked to toss this one mid air and bat it around when it lands, on and on.

Flippy Lure KitNipBox MayPetlinks Flippy Lure – $3.99 – A cat’s instinct is to hunt, eat and sleep (at least that is the way it works in our house). We try to remember this when we are giving them active playtime, as well as letting them catch the “hunt” to give them that satisfaction. This toy quenched that natural thirst for them, as well giving them feathers to lick, which they love to do.

Catnip Crinkle Snail KitNipBox MayPetlinks Zippy Snail – $14.01 – This is a another crinkle toy in the shape of a snail, which was so cute and when tossed had a Frisbee like effect. This will be a wonderful addition to a growing toy collection.

Chili Pepper KitNip Box MayHandmade Chili Pepper Toy – $5.00 – I have made my cats toys in the past and no toy made by me went over as well as this handmade chili pepper. There was a literal cat fight over the toy and each cat retired to their separate corners like prize fighters. This is handmade and includes catnip inside, which answered the question of why the cats were fighting over it. A hit with both Muggles! Update 1/2/16 – This is STILL a favorite in our house!

Squeak Mouse KitNipBox MayPlay N’ Squeak Scamper Mouse – $8.99 – This is made to satisfy a cats hunting instinct, and is a retractable mouse that gets attached to a chair leg. This also makes a cute mouse noise and seemed as thought it fooled the Muggles into thinking it was real.

Pet Greens KitNipBox MayPet Greens Cat Treats – $3.74 – These are semi-moist grain free cat treats that do not have the most pleasant color but Maggee loved them and even had Murfee wanting to earn what his sister had. The smell was not over powering and will be a healthy treat for well behaving cats.

The total value of this box came to $63.52 , which compared to the $29.00 cost is a great deal and a gain of $34.52. Even if you even have this flown over the big pond, it is still a huge gain.

I highly recommend KitNipBox to any cat guardian or family member of a cat guardian – this is a great value and a great box of fun for your feline pals!
