When you generally think of granola a couple of adjectives come to mind: outdoors, natural, healthy and durable. I love having simple granola snacks in my house despite being less than an outdoors person. There is nothing simpler then a bag of healthy tasty granola for an afternoon snack. Granola is just as versatile as it is tasty and this granola from a family run business in Shirley, MA is no exception.

The benefit of review blogging is being given the opportunity to try different types of the snacks and products I already enjoy. All the while supporting a small family run business and product, such as Golden Girl Granola. I was graciously sent 4 bags of my choosing to sample. The ones I chose were Bluesberry, Chocolate Decadence, Home Sweet Honey and Forest Maple. The other flavors I did not choose were Creative Cranberry, Truly Tropical and The Original. A 14 oz bag is available for $7.50 and they also have a 12 pack of 3 oz package’s available for $36.00.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Golden Girl Granola. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Bluesberry – This is made with coconut flakes, dried blueberries and sliced almonds. This granola with the blueberries gave it a nice treat of sweetness throughout.

Chocolate Decadence – This is made with coconut flakes, chocolate chips and sliced almonds. I used this to make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and it was beyond good. This had a perfect balance of chocolate and granola that made these cookies crunchy and chewy! I recommend trying these!

Home Sweet Honey – This granola is made with Merrimack Valley Honey with baked coconut flakes. The coconut is a nice addition without being overpowering.

Forest Maple – This is made with maple syrup and sliced almonds, and is crunchy and sweet.

All of Golden Girl Granola is made with raw wildflower honey and New England Syrups. These are all natural wheat free, no GMO’s. whole grain granola, no dairy, no cholesterol, no trans-fats, no preservatives and no artificial colors or flavors. This is all an all natural healthy treat that is as versatile as it is healthy.

Each box comes with a cute cookbook that gives you ideas of ways to use their many flavors of granola.

The “Golden Girl” is a version of the artist and her childhood pal Pippi Longstocking, which makes for a cute memorable representative of this granola company.
