IntelliDent Disposable Toothbrush Shield – Review and Giveaway
One of the biggest struggles that I deal with is the struggle of keeping my toothbrush clean between uses. I have two very active cats that love to jump on every surface of my home, including the counter and medicine cabinet.
Since it seems no matter where my toothbrush begins the day, by the end of the day it will be in a totally different spot. So when I was approached to review the IntelliDent Disposable Toothbrush Shields I thought this may help guard against this disaster in the making.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of IntelliDent Products. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
I received a package of IntelliDent Toothbrush Shield Disposable Toothbrush Shields that includes 10 individual wrapped shields from IntelliDent Products.
The purpose of these individually wrapped shields is to protect your toothbrush and replace the traditionally used plastic travel cases. These can be used when your toothbrush travels, or when it is sitting in your house and all places in between.
Each of these are made from non-woven fabric and are made to wick away moisture and can be used up to 7 days with bacterial protection, although it is recommended that you replace them every three to four days. Each shield measures approximately 1-3/4″W x 2-1/2″L, making them able to fit almost every toothbrush, and electric toothbrush commercially available.
When we received these, one went on my toothbrush and one went on my husband’s toothbrush. Typically we are very aware of what the bristles touch, and with these shields on, we were less concerned than normal. That is not to say that we were completely oblivious to where our toothbrush was, but the level of concern was lower. I used my shield for about 5 days, and noticed no dirt, or anything – it looked similar to the first day. The opposite was true for the second toothbrush in the house, and we saw dirt and particles that had this not been on, would have ended up on the bristles.
I had always wanted a way to protect my toothbrush, but did not want to use the bulky cases, since we are already sparse on space. I am very pleased with the protection level, and ease of use of these shields and plan to continue using them, with a plan to purchase more once this initial package runs out. In addition they are made in the USA and run by a women owned business!
If you are looking for an alternative to keeping your toothbrush safe, while not changing the way you currently store your brushes, this is the solution you are looking for! I would highly recommend the IntelliDent Toothbrush Shield Disposable Toothbrush Shields, especially since they protect your brush without cluttering the space!

I have mine out on the counter to air dry. I realize that is not very sanitary now.
