Geek Fuel Monthly Subscription – April Box Review

Geek Fuel April BoxThe geek world is a special place to live. The geeks of the world live in a world of super heroes, bionic organs and where there are no limitations on what is possible. The biggest and most anticipated event in Geekdom is the release of “The Avengers”, and with this in mind Geek Fuel curated a Marvel themed box for April.

This is not my first Geek Box review (see previous review, click here) so I had a general idea of what to expect. I had also received an email half way through the month from Geek Fuel announcing that this months box would contain a licensed item from DC Comics.

Let me break down the contents of this months box under the cute sticker and silver wrapping paper:

Breakstuff Club MugBreakfast Club Coffee Mug: This is easily one of the coolest mugs I have seen. This is in the theme of the 1980’s classic movie Breakfast Club as each character as a Avengers character. They have the Princess as Thor, the Basket Case as Bruce Banner/Hulk, the Brain as Ironman, the Athlete as Captain America and the Criminal as Spiderman.

Geek Box April shirtT-shirt – Turtles Assemble – $12.99: This is an exclusive t-shirt to Geek Fuel Monthly Box Subscribers. This shirt depicts The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the characters of the Marvel Universe. Each turtle is represented and dressed as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow. The shirt is 90% cotton and 10% polyester and while the tag says heavy cotton it seems lighter then most “heavy” shirts.

Star Wars Jelly BellysStar Wars Jelly Belly – $1.25: My first memory of Jelly Belly’s is tied to my father. When I was a child this is what I would purchase for holidays and fathers day – the deluxe box of Jelly Belly’s for my dad. As I have gotten old, I have begun to appreciate Jelly Bellys and the simplicity of them. My husband played Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and played the “red” leaning so we received the appropriate package. This package has sparkling flavors such as green apple, berry blue, blueberry, grape soda, island punch and sour apple.

Avengers Candy SticksAvenger Candy Sticks – $.14/each : These are cute little boxes of 2.5 inch candy sticks. The packaging is Avengers appropriate and there are 8 sticks per package. The best way to describe the taste is of the crunchy minty variety.

20ScribbleNautsDC Comics Series 3 – Scribblenauts Unmasked – $4.99: The figurine I received was Superman, and he will now protect Jason each day at work. This is about a 3 inch figurine with a cute base that the figure snaps into. If I was a bigger Marvel fan I would totally get all of these, they are that cute!

Kingdom of WarsKingdom Wars Battles – $20.00: This is a downloadable game code with a sticker sheet. This is a massive multi-player online game in which you play in teams, or alone.

One in 40 boxes also contained a movie ticket for the Avengers: Age of Ultron – DealsAmongUs.com was not one of the winners, but I have seen a couple other reviewers who did win tickets.

Geek Fuel boxes are available in 4 different monthly options:

  • 1 month/$17.60
  • 3 months/$16.60

  • 12 months/$13.60 + 3 free mystery items

This box is full of geeky Marvel goodness and would recommend to anyone who thinks they are a geek or suspects that they might be one. It has taken me a long time to accept that i am in fact a geek. but I now embrace it and continue to celebrate it each day.
