Enjoy the Little Things by Stampin’ Up Review

Stampin’ Up – Enjoy the Little Things – Review and Giveaway

Enjoy the Little Things Complete 1There have been few things that I like as much as a craft kit. I love the idea that in one package I can receive everything I need to complete a project.

The best kits, in my opinion, give a good set of instructions, are not overly complicated, include all material needed to complete the project per the instructions. A good kit can make you forget your day and get you lost in your project. I find a project that has everything I need allows me to enjoy myself and not make me wonder if I am missing a important element.

While I was reviewing the latest Stampin’ Up catalog, and I came across the Enjoy the Little Things Project Kit. The thing I loved about this kit was the positive messages that each project conveys.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of My Paper Pumpkin/Stamping Up, but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

This Enjoy the Little Things Project Kit allows you to make 13 single sheet card stock messages with a black clip board that stands on its own for display. The card stock saying’s range from seasonal, kindness inspired, love, dream, and a reminder to make “every moment count” to name a few.

Enjoy the Little Things Stamp SetCoordinates with the Enjoy the Little Things Stamp set. This is a selection of 13 photo-polymer stamps that will include any message you want to convey. I would recommend getting a clear block to place the stamps on, as this makes the stamping A LOT easier. I just used baby wipes to clean the surface and that seemed to clean them of all residual ink.

Stamp PadsCoordinating ink colors: Tangelo Twist, Delightful Dijon, Watermelon Wonder, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron and Black. Each color is 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ and fast drying, permanent ink that is acid free. The ink stamp also has one of the most versatile cases in that it has a flip top for upside-down storage which means that the pads stay inked during storage. Also on the back of each stamp is a sticker that can be placed on the side of the stamp to make the storage and the later retrieval much easier. These also can be re-inked with Archival Stampin’ Ink Refills.

Adhesive Combination Stampin UpAlso included was a Fine Tip Glue Pen and Snail Permanent Adhesive. I had never used a fine tip glue pen and this made the application of glue so simple. If you are a card maker, you HAVE to purchase one of these. The precise nature of this can not be matched. I have always been a fan of these adhesive tape runners, and this one worked perfect

Similar to the monthly kits, there were instructions included. While these are easy messages to put together, I would have liked to see a little more details in the instructions. Like I have on previous kits, I did second guess myself once or twice on the instructions. I would also advise that when you stamp on wood, I would not leave the inked stamp on the surface for too long, as it will cause “bleeding” issues. If this does happen you can flip over the wood piece and try again (which I ended up doing but am learning).

Laser DetailsThe cutting of the die-cuts is nothing short of detailed and overall this is an easy project to complete. I would advice that if you are looking for a quick easy project this is probably not the one you want – it took me about 4.5-5 hours to complete the 13 pages. I will say that I was never frustrated and felt wonderful with each one I completed.

If you want a cute kit, that comes with everything you want, then I would recommend the Enjoy the Little Things Project Kit!!
