The Beehive Candle and Lotion Review and Giveaway

One of my favorite scents is Lemon, well not just scent but also lemon flavor anything. I went on a chain of meals that consisted of lemon chicken and nothing else. I felt bad for my husband Jason that his pallet was not receiving any sort of flavor stimulation. Flavor aside, I love the freshness of a good lemon scent and will usually purchase the item in question.

Back in July I had the opportunity to review Infusion Organique by Cosmetix West. The candle that I reviewed remains one of my favorite candles, and is only burned on special occasions. When I was doing my research for that review I saw that they had a couple different brands under the Cosmetix West umbrella – one of them being “The Beehive“.

“The Beehive” gets it’s name from the store of the same name in Manhattan Beach California, and knowing the owner for years, the owner of Cosmetix West collaborated with The Beehive. The store is known for its fashion as well as its candy counter, and this collection is a nice representation of the store and the overall feeling it must have. The collection contains 3 scents inluding Lulu Lemondrop, Alice Blue and Honey Blossom. Each of the 3 scents in this collection contain a 3.4 oz Eau De Parfum spray, .37 oz Eau de Parfum roll on, 8 oz lotion and a 7 oz candle. In consideration for a review I received the following for review:

I received one product in each of the scents that The Beehive currently has which included 2 lotions – one in Honey Blossom and the other in Alice Blue and I also received a 6.5 oz candle in the popular Lulu Lemondrop. As an added bonus I also received each scent in samples of eau de parfum.

The lotions smelled absolutely wonderful and had the perfect amount of scenting. The first one I began using was the Honey Blossom, which smelled of a vanilla and amber scent. As a nice contrast the second scent I tried was Alice Blue which had more a floral note to it. Each scent has a hint of vanilla and had layers of different scents that became more obvious the longer it was on my hands.

The candle that I received was in Lulu Lemondrop, and it is their most popular scent (according the company) and after I smelled it, it was obvious to me why it was popular. The 6.5 oz Lulu Lemondrop candle smelled of lemongrass, a blend of fresh pineapple and sweet berries. The citrus mix included in this scent should be in every persons home and would add a spring scent to the air.

As an added bonus I received 3 sampled each of their eau de parfum’s scents – Honey Blossom, Alice Blue and Lulu Lemondrop. Despite the miniature size of these sample, there is enough for multiple applications. My favorite scent is the Lulu Lemondrop, with the Honey Blossom and Alice Blue tying for my second favorite.

I am really happy with the lotion and the candle from The Beehive, and I plan to purchase the other two scents in the candles. I encourage you all to give The Beehive a try!!

I like scented lotions. I have collected scented lotions for years and there have been a few duds but most I really enjoy. Some of my favorites are: Nivea and Jergens BB Body. I also like Supergoop Hand Creme by Forever Young.

I like a lightly scented lotion. I mainly am after the moisturizing effect rather than scent. I really like St Ives spray lotion. It’s so nice for after a shower.
