Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Cats Review

Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Cats Review and Giveaway

Stress Relieving CatsOften times when I am writing I hit a block – this can come suddenly and despite my best efforts becomes an immovable block. The one thing that tends to assist in removing the block are my cats and their rhythmic purring. I can place them on my lap and just listening to them purr is the antidote to writer’s block.

There is a calm and peace when a cat purrs and the most amazing part is that scientists are not even really sure where the purr comes from and why. I have my theory – I think when my Maggee or Murfee are really happy they like to express it to their humans and this is an automatic happiness reaction.

The one thing that can not be denied is that there is little as calming as a cat purring in your lap. If I was to think of one thing that is also relaxing, I would have to say coloring cats. Since my love of cats is universal, I was thrilled when I received the Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Cats.

Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Cats contains 30 different cats to color. Each sheet is one-sided which makes it easy to share with your cat loving friends. The designs are easy to color, and the lines vary depending on the photo and range from bold to thin, the common links is that each is easy to follow. The book, unfortunately, does not lie flat but I was able to crack the binding which creates a flat surface. It is also important to note that the book’s pages are glued to the binding, making tearing the picture out a little more difficult. My recommendation is to take care or use a cutting device to get the page out. There is room around the photo to cut a frame out if you decide to frame your masterpiece.

All cat picturesWhat makes this book different from other cat coloring books is that each page is different then the page before it. There is a cat for every human, and the whimsy of some of them really let you spread your colorful wings.

I do recommend a piece of paper under the page you are coloring when using pens to avoid bleed through to other pages. If you are using colored pencils or crayons this will not be a concern, but I would still place a paper in between the pages to keep the clean flat nature of the next pages.

I really enjoyed coloring through this book and I can imagine cat fan will love to color and lose themselves in a feline world.

ย I HIGHLY recommendย Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Cats

I generally read, but my daughter wanted to try coloring, so I gave her some materials for Christmas this past year.

Honestly? I color. If it’s really late at night and I can’t color, then I’ll listen to music or try to read a book on my kindle. But truthfully, I’d prefer to be coloring when I need to relax.
