Jackpot Jewelry Candle – Review and Giveaway

Relaxation and I are generally opposing concepts. I have always loved fire and candles, there is something about the way that the fire dances from the wick and burns down as it melts into the wax. If there are relaxation moments in my life this is where you will find them. I find the rhythm of the fire burning almost a religious experience, and nothing makes me quieter or more relaxed.

Since candle burning allows this wonderful form of relaxation, I am always seeking out fragrant candles, and in my search I discovered Jackpot Candles. The name for Jackpot Candles really comes from the concept itself, each candle contains a piece of jewelry or “jackpot”. The jewelry varies, your choice, from earrings, rings and necklace’s and includes sizes 5, 6, 7, 8 and up to 9. Each candle has a piece of jewelry with a code on it, and if you go to the website and type in the code you will get an approximate value on the piece you received. Each enclosed piece has a value between $15.00 to $5,000.00, and are made of metal alloys and gems.

I got the Sweet Pea scented candle, and it was a bit larger than I thought it would be measuring approximately 3.5 inches by 6.5 inches and was 21 ounces in weight. I immediately noticed that being a 100% soy candle it burned different then traditional wax candles. I burned the candle for about 5 hours, which depleted the candle down about 1/3 of the way, before I was able to locate the “Jackpot”. The item was safely encased in a plastic baggie with an aluminum foil covering. It was a little oily to unwrap the item but manageable. I ended up with a size 8 ring with a blue center stone that could be Azurite or something comparable. The appraisal value was $22.00, which seems fair for what I received.

There are 19 scents to choose from including Banana Nut Bread, Birthday Cake, Blueberry Muffin, Carmel Coffee Latte, Cherry Blast, Christmas, Cinnamon Bun, Cinnamon Sensation, Cucumber Melon, Georgia Peach, Hot Fudge Brownie, Jack Frost, Lilac, Ocean Breeze, Pina Colada, Sweet Pea, Valentine Cupcake, Vanilla Cupcake and Watermelon. Each scent is available in the jars and tarts.

I was really pleased with the burn and smell that came from this candle. The smell took about 5 to 10 minutes to begin to permeate the surrounding area, and when it did it was so good!

Let’s be honest for a moment and say that relaxation is hard to come by but with this candle you will find a small moment in that elusive concept. I am learning that while the concept might not describe me, it can begin to describe my quiet fire watching moments.
