The World Needs More Love Letters Review

20150412_000140The title of this book can not be more accurate to the world in which I believe we should live in. The applicable title being “The World Needs More Love Letters“. I believe in the art of stamps, the art of writing and sending snail mail notes to those we care about. When I was a young child I got many, many awards for penmanship (the art of writing). I am often told, even now, that I have beautiful handwriting, which works well for my traditional thoughts.

We live in a technological world, there is nothing we can do to change that fact. The thing that we can change is how we communicate with those we love. Text messages, email and Snapchat have replaced the art of sending a card with a note included. I believe when there is a death in a family, text is not ok, it is proper to send a card to be bereaved. When there is a birthday, it is proper to send a card – it is tangible and a great memory to keep. I keep all cards we are sent, no matter what the reason as we have found they are a nice keepsake as well as decoration for celebrations that they were sent for.

When I had the opportunity to review The World Needs More Love Letters by Hannah Bencher I jumped at the chance. The book’s title is what got me interested and got my attention: The World Needs More Love Letters – All-in-One Stationery and Envelopes.

20150412_000330This book is a bound collection of 40 papers (8 pages of 5 designs each) that easily separate from the bound cover. This book serves as a fold and mail stationary set, all you need is a stamp. On the inside cover there are 40 thought-provoking writing prompts that you can use to inspire your own love letter. Also included in the book are 40 seals to seal your letter for mailing. The paper is of high quality and there is a thickness to it which gives confidence that your letter will make it to its destination with no damage.

Currently a stamp costs .49, and the book retails for $12.99 so for right around .82 cents/per note (.49×40+12.99/40) you can make an immeasurable impact on someone you care about.

I HIGHLY recommend this treasure so that you can pass along a treasure of your own to someone you love.
