    Our main holiday gathering is at my apt with our adult kids and any significant others they may have and our grandson (sometimes my parents or sister but only sometimes) . That one is my favorite. Sometimes we are able to get together with my husbands side of the family on a different date during the holidays and of course we enjoy that too as we always love spending time with them and seeing them.

    About the only holiday gatherings I attend are the ones the grandchildren are part of–concerts, pageants, etc. And of course the family activities, generally those are on Christmas Eve.
