How to Draw Cats and Kittens: A Complete Guide for Beginners Review and Giveaway
As regular readers know we are cat fans around here. As fascinated and interesting as I find cats, I can not draw them. I have tried to draw cats in the past but they come out more alien than feline. Recently I receive a copy of How to Draw Cats and Kittens: A Complete Guide for Beginners by J. C. Amberlyn and I immediately knew that this may be just what I need to finally learn to draw my beloved cats.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Monacelli Studio. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
I received a copy of How to Draw Cats and Kittens: A Complete Guide for Beginners by J. C. Amberlyn for review, and my drawing education.

What I loved about this book is that it covers all types of cats, including kittens. The main topics that are covered include the drawing of the skeletal structure, the details of the parts of the body that are difficult to draw such as eyes, and paws. The fur can be difficult, but this book includes clear instructions to draw clear and easy fur.
If you want your drawing to have some expression, you can draw them happy, relaxed and surprised with the instructions in these books. There is also instructions for pen or pencil depending on which medium you prefer to draw with.

There are instructions for different breeds including specialty breeds. Each page has instructions and also educates the artist about the cats as you draw each element of the cat.
WhileI am not going to be a artist of a professional nature anytime soon, it is still fun to be able to draw a image that resembles my cat. If you have a budding artist, or want to sharpen your feline drawing skills then get a copy of How to Draw Cats and Kittens: A Complete Guide for Beginners by J. C. Amberlyn.
