Jazz Loves Disney – A Review

When I was young I loved all things Disney! One of my favorite things to do was listen to Disney music before I went to school each morning. Many times my father would come in my room and listen with me. My first trip to Disneyland was just as special as one would imagine it would be.

The other thing I grew up listening to was Jazz music. I grew up in a house with a baby grand piano and saxophones filled the air and my ears. At the same time, there was  a yearly release of new Disney movies and accompanying music!

One thing I always wished is that these jazz musicians would play music with a Disney slant. My wish has come true with the release of the Jazz Loves Disney album.

Jazz Loves Disney is a jazz themed Disney album that will have your toes and heels tapping that is scheduled to be released November 18th.

There are two songs that I love on this album. The first being The Rob Mounsey Orchestra – “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes” – from Cinderella. I am a big believer that the only limitation we have is our own imaginations and this song reminds me of that constantly.

The second song I loved was Jamie Cullum – “Everybody Wants To Be A Cat” – from The Aristocats because, really everyone wants to be a cat and this is a great reminder to always get in touch with your inner cat!

With a 13 track compilation, many of your Disney favorite’s are played with a jazz sound.

1. Jamie Cullum – “Everybody Wants To Be A Cat” – from The Aristocats
