Veeda Personal Products – Tampons Review and Giveaway
As I get older and time passes me along I really realize the important of our impact on the earth we inhabit. This impact can be a small as using a napkin to wipe wet hands instead of a cloth to using natural personal hygiene products.
Veeda Tampons come in a few varieties; Applicator and Non-Applicator Tampons, ranging from regular, super and super plus absorbancy as well as sanitary pads. Veeda Tampons and Pads are 100% natural cotton and have no chemicals, no synthetics and no dyes.
I received a package of both the applicator tampons and non-applicator tampons. I will be totally honest and say that the tampons with the applicators have always gotten my attention before their applicator less counterparts. The hardest part for a woman, is on average we use a box or two of tampons a month, and that is a lot of plastic applicators entering the sewer and trash systems. While it takes some getting used to, the non-applicator tampons do have a positive. The environmental impact decreases and can make a otherwise negative time, a bit brighter.
The tampons come in a plastic wrapper, and because of the discreet size must be snapped up prior to use (which amounts to a simple movement). The applicator was easy to use and comfortable, and the tampon did it’s job. I found the removal as easy as the entry, and was impressed with the absorption.
I will definitely be purchasing these instead of the store-bought equivalents in the future. Knowing I am helping myself and the environment is always a good choice!

I’ve lost a lot of weight and now that I’m much healthier, the symptoms are much less bothersome. I plan ahead, to make sure I have some time to wrap up in a blanket and snuggle to feel comfortable.
Woo! Can’t wait to give these a try!
Since the beginning I’ve always had the whole shebang, backache, fever, horrible cramps, etc during that time, but incredibly, since eating a paleo diet, NOTHING!
Now all I feel is a little tiny ghost of a crampy feeling for about an hour the first day and that’s all – I don’t know how eating paleo does that, but I’m not complaining. 😀
Oops, so in answer to the question, I don’t do anything special to ease any discomfort but I used to take a buttload of pain killers in the past. 🙂
I currently use Midol for the pain and discomfort.
I drink special teas
Exercising and drinking lots of water seem to help with my cramps.
Since I’ve used a light birth control pill for cycle regulation, I’ve chosen to have about four cycles a year–and they’re very light, with minimal discomfort. Eating well (avoiding refined carbs, sugar, and fried foods, enjoying lean proteins, veggies and fruits with dark sugar-free chocolate and a few nuts) and exercising regularly also helps. I am grateful to be so fortunate!
I drink lots of water and eat chocolate
I get as much exercise as I can and eat ginger to sooth some of the discomfort
Usually a heating pad helps a lot
