When I was young 40 sounded like a large daunting number. The context it was in was meaningless, it was just a high number. As I have crept closer to that number I realize that it is important to know the context of time in which those 40 years have embodied. While it is a large number is also commemorates an accomplishment, or milestone.

As luck would have it I am not the only one celebrating a 40th birthday soon. Little Debbie’s famous Fudge Rounds are also turning 40 this July.

I always ate Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies as a kid. I told my husband that the cookies seem to be so much smaller. Of course when you’re little they seem so big. The next day, I come home to find a box of the GIANT Oatmeal Cream Pies sitting on my counter. lol 🙂
