Simply Earth: Bring In Christmas – December 2016 – Review + Giveaway

simply-earth-december-setThere is no denying that essential oils are not only natural but they are useful beyond simple uses.

As anyone with cats can attest, they get on every surface and every area of your home, so it is important that the items we use to clean are safe for their paws.

When I recently read another review of Simply Earth and their monthly subscription box I was was eager to try it out myself. Simply Earth was generous and sent on of their monthly subscription essential oil box for review.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Simply Earth. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

I received a Simply Earth Essential Oil Subscription Box of Christmas blends that contains the following items recipes to bring in the season:

instructions-and-stickers6-7 different recipes in each box. This has a new theme each month that ranges from DIY cleaning, holiday, or bath & beauty essential oil based solutions.

happy-joy-essential-oil-recipeEach month there are note cards that include ideas for uses for the included essential oils. These can range in one simple idea, such as using a diffuser, to mixing a couple of oils together to make a simple household formula. Also, included each month are videos to help you with the recipes.

Simply Earth was founded by two brothers and their wives with the simple mission to make it easy and affordable to have natural options in your home. Also, 13% of the profits go towards the fight to help end human trafficking.

Since I am fairly new at using essential oils, I appreciated having a box with instructions on use. These were simple mixes, that made a big impact in my house. I appreciated the seasonality of this box since I enjoy the holiday scents.

After using this box I think that anyone new to the Essential Oil trend would benefit greatly from this box – it is a nice introduction to the use of these versatile and safe oils. Give it a try and tell me what you made!

My fave essential oil is lavender…I put a couple drops on a tissue and stick it into my pillow at night time.

My favorite is lemon. It has many benefits. I use it to add a few drops in water each morning to start my day. I use it to clean. I add it to shampoo and conditioner for extra smell. I diffuse it. You can even add it to recipes.

I like to rub Rosmary into my scalp because I understand it makes your hair grow faster.

  4. Deborah Caudill

I like lemon and use it in a diffuser to add that lemony freshness to the air. It makes the house smell nice. I am really new to essential oils, but have been reading a lot about them.

I don’t think I have a favorite yet. I use a frankincense and lavender blend on my skin, rosemary on my face… I made a lavender-only blend the other day because I had the worst time sleeping the night before last (fell asleep fairly quickly last night though). I want to get peppermint and eucalyptus oils to make a natural cough suppressant, but I haven’t tried that yet (haven’t needed it yet either, since I started making these blends).

I use peppermint oil for so many things from migraines and nausea to bug repellant.

Tea Tree because I use it the most. I use it in my bath and to cleanse the air in the diffuser. I use it when my skin feels itchy to soothe my skin. I use it on my face for breakouts.

My favorite essential oil would have to be lemon. So many different uses! I love using it with coconut oil for furniture polish.

I don’t have a lot of experience with essential oils, but I love orange and lemon for scenting my home—very fresh

I love lavender and peppermint. Lavender helps me sleep and calms me down. Peppermint settles my stomach in the mornings.

My favorite essential oil is Peppermint Oil. I use it to keep away spiders and I put a little Peppermint Oil in water and drink it to help with digestive issues.
