Keep Your Color With Schwarzkopf Color Guard Shampoo and Conditioner – Review and Giveaway

I remember the day it happened. It was a sunny day and not a cloud in the sky. Despite the lack of clouds above, As I do each morning, I went to brush my hair and discovered that the day I had been dreading was finally here – my first grey hair appeared.
As memorable as this moment was, it was not a complete surprise since I had long suspected that I would gray earlier than most of my peers. Since I had always had this suspicion I began to color my hair while I was still a teen.
One problem I have always encountered when I color my hair is that the color tends to fade and lighten much earlier than I would like. Also, since I recently colored my hair, it was the ideal time to give the new Schwarzkopf Gliss Color Guard Shampoo and Conditioner a try.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Schwarzkopf Gliss. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
I received a bottle of Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair: Color Guard Shampoo and Conditioner for my review that was released in January of 2017.

Recently I decided to color my hair close to what the natural color would be. My thoughts were that I can retain a natural look and cover the ever intruding gray color,
One of the most difficult things is to maintain the color 8 weeks after coloring especially if you are a frequent hair-washer which can cause color to dull or fade. The first step to caring for color-treated hair does begin in the shower, that is why it is important to have specifically developed hair care for colored and highlighted hair.
The Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair: Color Guard Shampoo and Conditioner protects, strengthens, and locks-in color which ensures a luminous shine and brighter color that lasts up to 12 weeks. This Color Guard has anti-fading color protection, as well as UVA/UVB filter that helps lock color in.
The scent is a nice clean scent that is consistent between the shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo has a nice lather without being overboard, and rinses easily and quickly out of hair. The conditioner is just as easy, needing very little to make your hair soft and manageable.
Once my hair dried not only did it have a nice scent but it also felt soft and looked as color filled as the day I colored my hair.
The Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair: Color Guard Shampoo and Conditioner is a great hair care combo if you want to keep that same color you get that first week,
