Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – October Review and Giveaway

Peaches and Petals October box contentsOne bonus to monthly boxes is that you really never know what you are going to get until you open the box. I like the element of surprise and I love that it is always a new adventure into trying new items. The best boxes are ones that keep the surprise each month and keep you guessing with little guidance.

One of the newer player’s in the subscription box arena is Peaches and Petals. This is a subscription box that caters to ‘fun. flirty, fashionable vintage and modern lifestyles’. What does that mean to you the subscriber? It means that each month you will receive 3-5 items hand selected by the Peaches and Petals team and can range in items from creams, nail polish, makeup, scarves and bags  or/and a vintage piece of jewelry. There could be other items included, depending on the box and theme for the month.

This is the second box (see previous box review here) and what I really like about this box is that it that they strive to make sure there are useful and can be integrated into your routine. It is still obvious that Peaches and Petals are continuing to doing things different. The box was full of useful items and included the following:

Elizabeth Ardin BagElizabeth Arden Tote ($ GWP): This was this months guaranteed item included in this months box (next month is a scarf!!!). This was a free gift with purchase through Elizabeth Arden if you spent $42.00. This is a nice item to include as many of us do not make it to the department stores or want to purchase the required amount, we still get to enjoy the bag. The bag is a good size and would be good for a beach day or shopping trip out. It is difficult to put a monetary value on this as it is a free gift with purchase.

Small box Peaches and PetalsSally Hansen Nail Polish – Grape Going ($3.99): Being that October is a month known for oranges and purples I thought this color selection was beyond perfect for inclusion! The first coat was a little lighter than I wanted, but on the second coast the color popped! This dried quickly although it was not hardened and took about 30 minutes to be hard enough to not smudge or dent. The color is bright and sparkly and the perfect addition given Halloween is approaching.

Barielle Pro Essentials Skin Care ($6.69): This is a exfoliant and skin polish. It is recommended you apply to a damp face, rub in and then rinse. You can use this anywhere from 2 times to 7 times a week depending on your comfortably. This smelled just like pomegranate and left my face feeling smooth, soft and refreshed.

Smash Box Eye Shadow Trio ($14.99): I am a huge fan of browns and neutral colors on my face – I believe the more subtle, the better so this is a perfect combination for me!

Anne Taintor Sassy Magnetic Postcard ($9.99): I used this dry shampoo one day when I was feeling like having clean hair without the fuss of getting the rest of me wet. This worked really well and I plan to purchase a full size bottle for myself.

This was packaged in a big cardboard box that I again plan on up-cycling. The items were placed well in the box and fit without being crammed in. The box comes with a manifest/postcard that lists all the items included in the box and the approximate cost. I really enjoyed this months box and I continue to look forward to  seeing what else Peaches & Petals has in store for their subscribers. There was also a spoiler postcard announcing what next months guaranteed item is – A FRINGE SCARF!!!!

The total value of this box came to $35.66 with a $14.99 monthly cost equals a gain of almost $20.67 and if you use my code below the gain is $28.16! The price variance depends on the fact of if you use my coupon code to purchase.

Each monthly subscription are $14.99/month – pay as you go and shipping is included in the cost each month, enter the below code and your 1st box will be $7.50!!!!
