Paper Pumpkin – Season of Gratitude – October 2016 Kit Review and Giveaway
It is hard to imagine that we are starting to enter the holiday season. I have officially seen my first holiday commercial complete with music!
What is often overlooked is in our march towards this time of year, it is also important to remember to show gratitude. When I think of this coming time of year, I always reflect on what I am thankful for and the people I appreciate the most.
When I received the October 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit “Season of Gratitude” I knew I had received the cards I wanted that would show all the people I care about some gratitude.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Paper Pumpkin/Stampin’ Up, but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
This month is a kit that makes 8 cards full of gratitude and is titled “Season of Gratitude“.
Each month I look forward to the 10 by 6.5 red box, to see what new project I will be embarking on. Each month the kit comes complete with the items you need to create the cards for the month. Included in this months box was the following:
- Season of Gratitude Photopolymer Stamp Set
- Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin’ Spot Ink
- 8 Kraft Card Bases
- 8 Printed Envelopes
- 8 Window Sheets
- 8 Vanilla Embossed Sheets
- 5 Sheets die-cut elements
- 5 yards Green Baker’s Twine
- Sequins – 3 sizes in 4 colors
- 2 sheets foam adhesive strips (2 sizes)
- 150 Adhesive Dots
Included with each box are written instructions with full-color photos but also there is an instructional video available (Online Instructions) to help you complete the project each month.
This months stamp included stamps that are geared towards the greetings and floral pattern’s. The set includes 5 word stamps and 2 stamps including a background and a shape. Together these 7 clear polymer stamps stick well on a clear block and are easy to use with the enclosed tags. Included was a stamp pad in Chocolate Chip, which is a brown color that is a deep brown.
The concept behind this months kit is that when completed you have 8 cards that can be sent to friends, teachers, family and friends in gratitude.
The instructions in this kit were easy to understand and follow. Also photos included were clear and even if omitted I would have been able to complete the kit.
The result is a set of 8 cards that now only share gratitude with others, but are handmade and priceless – which is what gratitude is – priceless.
Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up boxes are available for $19.95/month, $59.00/3 months, $114.00/6 months and $215.00/12 months and the shipping is included in the cost. The 6-month is a total savings of about $6, about a $1 a month savings and the 12-month is total savings of about $24, about a $2 a month savings thus ends up totaling the amount of receiving one kit free.
