My Paper Pumpkin November 2015 Kit Review and Giveaway
When I was a child and teenager my job during the holidays was to do the annual holiday cards. It is important to understand that this is something I looked forward to each year. As soon as holiday cards were available at our neighborhood warehouse store, I made sure to impress upon my father their importance. What usually happened is that people we only spoke to once a year would be inspire to call and to do that once yearly checking.
As I have gotten older I no longer do cards on behalf of my father, but my own household. When Jason and I met, one of the first thing I shared was my love of sending holiday cards and he was tasked with getting his families addresses for me. As we have progressed into spouses so have my level of cards into handmade. I generally hand make cards for the holidays as well as thank you cards and invitations.
I remembered this ritual when I saw this months My Paper Pumpkin kit as I had the chance to review My Paper Pumpkin’s kit box’s previous months box (click here). As if made for me and the season the box for November was called “Mistletoe & Holly”.
The idea behind this months kit is that you can make a card for the holidays that is home made and has that holiday feeling.
The 10 by 6.5 size box that the kit comes in is packed with the items you need to complete the project for the month. Included in this months box was the following:

This months stamp choice can be used for the holidays no matter what the recipient celebrates. The flexibility and versatility with the 6 polymer stamps included makes this kit versatile for cards, scrapbooks or accents on a gift tag.
Included was a stamp pad in Cherry Cobbler– this a red/cherry color, that adds a pop of color coordination to the included background. Included in the box was also cards in an assortment of different patterns with a coordinating envelopes. There were also 2 sheets of accents to be stamped on, as well as holly stickers to add a pop. Also included is linen thread, which adds a a cute accent to the enclosed card projects.
The Mistletoe & Holly theme of this month is any occasion celebrated this time of year.
Each year I look forward to this ritual I have had since childhood, that has been adjusted for my own household. I love receiving cards, and I save each card I receive every year. I love looking back on years past and remembering receiving the card. I hope that the handmade element of my card bring the recipient joy from year to year, provided they save the card.
