I have always loved cookies and chocolate, I recently discovered that you can add heat to chocolate and that not only adds a spice but an added chocolate flavor.

I recently had the opportunity to try Marlo’s Bakeshop’s Soft Banana Biscotti, and I really loved it. When I had the opportunity to try their new Sweet Heat Double Chocolate Chip Cookies I was intrigued.

I received a box of the Sweet Heat Double Chocolate Chip Cookies from Marlo’s Bakeshop for my evening dessert.

The first thing that I noticed was that the cookies were hard but not a overly crumbly cookie. The cookie is the perfect size to pop in your mouth and not share. These are low calorie at 130 calories for 3 cookies – low cal and delicious.

If you are hesitant due to spice, don’t let the name scare you – these are not overtly hot and they will not overpower you with spice.

The ingredients are simple and are a blend of dark chocolate chips, vanilla extract, sea salt, cinnamon and cayenne pepper.

If you are a fan of chocolate cookies, you will LOVE this heated version.
