KitNipBox Monthly Subscription Box Review

Monthly Box Contents - Kit Nip BoxOur cats are rescues – Murfee was discovered in an open field at 2 days old with only 2 other siblings and no mother to be found. Our Maggee is a different story – she was shuttled around from home to home for a couple of weeks due to alleged aggression issues. The only aggression that we have seen is when we get home and she is beyond eager to have us hold her. Our Maggee then had kittens, in a foster home, but as soon as she could she was separated from them and brought back to the shelter. This is where we entered her life – she jumped in our lap in the room and I was sold – she was mine!

Both of our cats had a rough start to life and despite this, they have the sweetest and most calm demeanor. When we have guests come over, instead of hiding, our cats want to be with the humans in the middle of the action. This gives our guests opportunities to play with toys and give them treats – and we know they love the added attention.

Our cats live their life inside, and for us this is right decision and the best way we can keep them safe. Due to the fact that we keep them in the house, we try to provide them as much stimulation as possible. We recently received a KitNipBox for review that provided a nice overview of the types of items one could receive from this monthly subscription box.

While your box may differ, this is representative of the type of items that will be included in each KitNipBox:

Loofa ChewSmartyKat Loofa Chew – $5.00 – The first day we adopted Murfee we took him to the local pet store so that HE could decide what toys he wanted – if he responded and sniffed and had interest we bought it, otherwise it stayed in the store. One of the first toys he chose was a loofah in the shape of a bird, and 2 1/2 years later there is a loofah shape that resembles that bird. Murfee still plays with the bird and I am THRILLED to give him a new loofah toy to play with. When I gave it to them, both Maggee and Murfee traded off playing with it – A HIT to say the least!

Kitty Kahuna Zoom SurfersFat Cat Kitty Kahuna Zoom Surfers – $6.43 – This is a stuff that has shorts on that can be stuffed with the included cat nip pods. This has organic cat nip and is refillable. Our cats seem to really like stuffies of any kind and this was no exception. I have not used the pods but I did shove some cat nip down pants (that doesn’t sound right) and our catnip addict Murfee loved it!

Eco-Pup Fleece ToyEco-Pup Catnip Toys- Rocket Kicker – $4.33 – This is a soft toy that has catnip included inside of the toy. Our cats love fleece and stuffies so this was a win in our house.

NatruPet TreatsNatruVet Hairball Aid – Pumpkin Flavor – $8.95 – This was a 60 count package which gave one kitty an added treat twice a day. Hairballs are not much of an issue with our cats despite the fact they spent hours grooming each other, but this would have helped while they were taking them. I might buy these in the future, but since hairballs are already at a very minimum it seems added to give them these. I did notice that NatruVet has other treats and formulas available, so I can choose specific what i want supplemented in their diets.

Twist and TreatPet Safe Twist ‘n Treat – Food Dispensing Cat Toy – $6.94 – This is a fun little treat dispensing toy, which generally frustrates Murfee and intrigues Maggee. This has the ability to vary the difficulty depending on your cats abilities.

Spot Sea Creature with Cat NipSpot – Refillable Cat Nip Treat Sea Creature – $5.00 – We live at the ocean so I LOVE receiving ocean themed or inspired items for our cats to play with! This comes with catnip to fill the toy with and is refillable as many times as the cat wants which is perfect for Murfee’s liking.

Super Kitty Boinks – $1.75 – Not pictured but the best way to describe this is that it reminded me of Chinese finger trap. Our cats love to watch things bounce so this was a hit. I took it away from them when we are not watching, due to potential to get hurt and chew this to pieces.

The total value of this box came to $39.37 , which compared to the $29.00 cost is a great deal and a gain of $10.37. A positive outcome, and a nice little gain for your pets amusement.

I would recommend this box to any cat guardian or family member of a cat guardian – this is a great value and a great box of fun for your feline companions!
