Celebrating the holidays has gotten more complicated as my kids have married and left home. It’s a juggling act, but it’s as it should be. When we get together, whether on the holidays or sometime close to them, we keep it as easy as possible. Great food, movies, games, sports and lots of time visiting.

Holidays are spent with family and freinds
It depends on the year. Every other year, we spend with my mom and her husband. This year we won’t be seeing them so it’s a quiet Christmas with the 3 of us.
This year we are celebrating the holidays at my parents.

My family gets together thanksgiving, my whole family on my daddy’s side, which is approximately 75 people. At thanksgiving after everyone eats then the talented family members get out their guitars and play and sing a mix of music. It’s always fun.

It truly depends on if I have all my kids or not; some things may shift but, the spirit will always stay the same. We love doing a personal advent calendar in which we do something different every day leading up to Christmas as a family.
