Let me start by saying that the products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of CoolerCanMonthly.com.
Cooler Can Monthly Subscription Review and Giveaway – July 2015
When I was a child my father had a collection of these wraps that kept his beer cool. I never knew why or even how this worked but loved the wraps. The collection included flying themed (he was a pilot before I was born), dirty jokes (which went right over my 8-year-old head) and locations that were unknown at the time to me (I was to young to go into many of the establishments that served alcohol).
As I have aged I have begun to see the genius behind these can wraps. These wraps go by a couple of names including koozies, beer coolers and can coolers. Inspired by these koozies, Cooler Can Monthly was created. Cooler Can Monthly features 2 subscription options including the Backyarder Foam package and the Happy Camper Neoprene Package.
Each month Cooler Can Monthly searches for unique businesses to contact and partner with. Once contact has been made a month is schedule in which the koozie will be featured. Once that partnership has had been secured and the cooler can is featured and it is retired forever. At this point it is not available anywhere else.
I received both the subscription options for this review as well as a couple of past koozies. What I found to be the most fun about these koozies was going online and researching the featured koozie’s original location.
Enclosed in the Backyarder Foam Package was one maroon vacuumed sealed can cooler from the “Virginville Hotel” in Pennsylvania. The Happy Camper Neoprene Package contained one purple vacuumed sealed can cooler, also from the “Virginville Hotel” in Pennsylvania. The biggest difference between these two packages/can coolers is the material in which the can holder is made of. The best way to describe the Neoprene is to think of wetsuit material, and that is what this can cooler was made of. The foam option is the traditional foam that most coolers are made of.
I was also sent a couple of past koozies, and like I said earlier my favorite part was discovering the locations and what their story was. I received three koozies and they originated from the following locations: First, “Welcome to Weiner, AR” – which is a small town that is not only the home of the Rice Festival but boasts a booming population of 760 people. Secondly, “Strange Brew: Lounge Side in South Austin, TX” – a music and coffee venue in Austin, TX. Featuring a rotating lineup of bands and singers which allows for a new experience each time. Thirdly, “the 6740 in Whittier, CA” – opened in July of 1997 and everything contained within the 4 walls are homemade providing a personal touch to the entire bar.
Monthly subscriptions for “The Backyarder Foam Package” are $4.50 – month to month, $13.50– 3 month membership (pre-paid), $27.00 – 6 month membership (pre-paid) and $51.00 – 12 month membership (prepaid). For the “The Happy Camper Neoprine Package” are $7.00 – month to month, $21.00– 3 month membership (pre-paid), $41.00 – 6 month membership (pre-paid) and $78.00 – 12 month membership (prepaid). Shipping is included in the cost each month for United States. Currently shipping to United States and Canada.
