Blüm Beverage: Zen Blend and Uplift Blend Review

Blüm Beverage – Natural Botanical Elixir: Zen Blend & Uplift Blend Review and Giveaway

If there is one thing I love, it is to relax and watch television with my cats. While many of my peers add a glass of wine to their relaxation rituals, I do not. The avoidance to wine had multiple reasons, including I get a headache, I am not a drinker, but the biggest is that I simply do not like the taste of wine.

The downside to this is that when all my friends have a drink at a party, I am the one without a wine glass. I tend to fill my glass with juice, to not be left out. I have often thought that it would be nice to have an herb based drink that is non-alcoholic and can be served in a wine setting.

When I recently got an email from Blüm Beverage who created two alcohol-free, botanical elixirs that caters to Non-Drinkers, I was interested.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Blüm Beverages, but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

I received 2 bottles of Blüm Beverages in Zen Blend and Uplift Blend.

The first blend that I tried was the Zen Blend which is a smooth and Calming blend that is a blend of lavender, hibiscus, chamomile and holy basil. When I tasted this the first things that I noticed was the chamomile smell. I decided to give this a swirl, like my wine drinking counterparts do, and I noticed that it released some additional scent much like the alcohol wines. The best way to describe the flavor was that is was like a watered down version of a tea with an increased aromatic quality.

The second taste was for the Uplift Blend that is a blend of rose, hibiscus, calendula and yerbe mate. This reminded me of a lighter version of a cranberry juice and I was able to taste the hibiscus.

Instructions on the website, recommend that these are served cold and served in a wine glass or cocktail glass. This gave me a great opportunity to use my cat wine glasses I got a couple of months ago. I had this chilled while I was doing some reading and enjoyed the blend. Honestly they reminded me of an upper scale cold tea (add ice and they would make flavorful iced teas).

In the end, this is not going to be an everyday item, but when I have friends or am attending a party, this will be a contender for a hostess gift. This is a great alternative for non-drinkers, as well as people who would prefer to have a relaxing experience without the not so relaxing headache in the morning.

While it is served at restaurants in the LA area currently, you can also purchase Blüm Beverages online.

Typically relax by watching a good movie or tv show and drinking a cup of tea. I’m so excited for this blum and will definitely check it out. I don’t drink either because it does give me an instant headache and well just the taste is awful, typically.
