I have always been a curious person. I think that this curiosity has served me well throughout my life and I think it is an important quality for somebody to have.
When I was young I would ask my father all sorts of questions, and they always included a long explanation. I loved to know “why” things are they way they are and I would force a response. Since I was a dancer, girl scout and all around active kid, we spent many hours in the car – plenty of question and answer time. I am not sure now that my father had all the answers, but I thought he did and that was all that mattered.

If you have a foodie or chef in your life, this would make a great coffee table book! I wish this book was around when I was young – science was very scientific and to know that it could be related and fun might have changed my outlook on chemistry.
