Spirit of Halloween: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book Review and Giveaway

There is no denying that time flies, and as you get older the time foes bu even faster. While we are only at late June, I have already seen Halloween stores popping up all over my town.

I love the idea that there are these pop-up stores that one can walk through and gather inspiration and a bit of the Halloween Spirit.

When I received a copy of Spirit of Halloween: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book by Suzy Joyner it inspired me to check out one of these stores, and thus getting me in the scary spirit.

Spirit of Halloween: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book by Suzy Joyner contains over 30 Halloween inspired images that can be colored in dark to light colors. This coloring book is full of hand-drawn coloring images featuring all the images that make Halloween the holiday it is.

The book, sadly does not lie flat, but this in now affects the function of the book. If you open the book wide and press down on the interior spine you might be able to crack the binding. Otherwise the book will not stay open on it’s own. The worst that happens is that it makes coloring a little more challenging. This in no way affects the book, just want you to be aware.

If you want to remove the pages please note that the book is bound similar to traditional books, so take care when removing the pages. I use my typical recommendation which is to be cautious when tearing or removing the page or use a cutting device such as scissors or a craft knife to get the page out since the images are close to the edges. Many of the pages cut close to the binding so take extra care when removing pages.

I would recommend placing a piece of paper under the page to be colored to avoid bleeding through to other pages. This also will assist in the prevention of creating impressions on the following pages from pressing down to hard – which I am guilty of.

This book covers everything from Frankenstein, to pumpkins and all other images that are reminiscent of the Halloween season.
