Lawless Jerky: BBQ Spare Rib Review and Giveaway
As I have mentioned in previous reviews, I recently attended the Natural Expo West Show in Anaheim. If you are unaware the Natural Products Expo covers everything from food, cleaning and personal care items. The show’s focus is highlighting and giving companies an opportunity to get their products name in the marketplace and to make their mark on the Natural Products category they are in.
One of the companies that I discovered this year at the Expo was a jerky company out of Arizona that has unique flavor and a fun story behind their start. Lawless Jerky was started when a lawyer thought he could bring more smiles from jerky than lawyering.
The thing that got my attention were the unique flavors that I had not seen before.
I received a couple 2 oz bags of Lawless Jerky BBQ Spare Rib Pork Jerky for review.
Let me start by saying I did not know what to expect as my experience with jerky is not only limited but also is a new thing that I enjoy to eat. Like I mentioned above, I received the BBQ Spare Rib Pork Jerky and it was really tasty.
When you taste this jerky it is clear that it is handcrafted, each piece tasted the same as the one before and was full of flavor. The BBQ Spare Rib Pork Jerky gets it’s tangy flavor from the ketchup used, the Umani flavor from the gluten-free soy sauce and the sweet from the honey used. Also included in the flavors are spices such as cinnamon, cloves and ginger.

All of Lawless Jerky’s is made in the United States, Arizona to be exact. What started a mere 2 years ago in a tiny kitchen in Santa Monica is now in a state-of-the-art jerky making facility in Arizona. All of the meat/pork used is consciously raised that are USA raised 100% grass-fed and hormone free, as well as being antibiotic free. In addition there are NO added nitrates, NO added MSG, and NO corn syrup.

The best part is that Lawless Jerky is available in 6 other flavors including Sweet Sriracha Beef Jerky, Aloha Teriyaki Beef Jerky, Japanese Pho Beef Jerky, Japanese Curry Beef Jerky, Mango Habanero Beef Jerky, Honey Chipolte Beef Jerky and the flavor I received of BBQ Spare Rib Pork Jerky. Each of these flavors range in heat from the mild Aloha Teriyaki to the spicy Mango Habanero, with the other flavors ranging in between the mild to spicy.

I have not heard of this brand before and I live in Arizona. The BBQ pork spare ribs sound like it would be very good.

I do not know what jerky flavor I would like best because I have never tasted jerky in my life. I do make chicken and beef liver jerky for my dogs but they are plain with no special flavoring and I have never tried them either.

I don’t eat jerky because I have strange texture issues, love the flavor but just can’t handle it. My kids and grandsons love love love teriyaki and the Sweet Baby Ray’s bbq best.
I have not had a jerky flavour that I didn’t love! Any spicy flavours are usually my top choice, but I love the sweet ones as well. Jerky is one of my favourite snacks, and something we always buy on trips across the border, as there is more selection in the USA.
Honey Chipotle sounds good.
