Buttons Galore & More Review and Giveaway
When Jason and I bought our house a dream of mine came true – I got my dedicated craft room. One of my first priorities was to create art from the materials contained in my craft room. I had always dreamed of having my craft room and I began dreaming of all the things I would create within those 4 walls.
The best way to describe my craft room, is said best by the young lady of a friend of ours when she said “coolest room ever”. My goal was to create a creative space that was filled with love and send a message to everyone who visited that this was a space to not only create but was filled with love.
When I attended the Craft and Hobby Mega Show in Anaheim in January I was introduced to Buttons Galore & More. The first thing that I noticed was the paper crafting project feature wall, as well as the 40 feet of buttons contained within the booth. Shortly after CHA 2016, I was sent a selection of buttons for review and crafting.
Buttons Galore & More is an online store that sells buttons for sewing, paper crafting or art projects.
Since I had been wanting to create something with buttons, I decided that I would expand on my overall message and create something with love.
After brainstorming and many hours of consideration I decided on a simple Love pattern on canvas. I wanted the size to be big enough to hold the love, and a good size heart. I settled on a 12 x 18 piece of canvas, which provided the amount of space.
The first priority was to take masking take and measure out the separation between each line. I settled on about 5 inch white sections, and black section that measured about 2 inches or so. The masking tape worked to give me lines, although they were not “sharp” there is a appeal to the slight imperfections. I measured my lines, and used a sharp black paint, and let it dry, Once it dried I applied a second layer, which ensured I had a solid coverage. buy prelone online https://rxnoprescriptionrxbuyonline.com/prelone.html no prescription
Once the paint dried I removed the masking tape and used a stencil set to apply the “love”. As I let the paint dry and applied a small amount of glitter which makes the letters pop. Once the paint was dry, I did do a couple of touch-ups which made things a little sharper.
For the heart, I decided to start with a simple heart shape and then I built and expanded the heart to the size I felt was appropriate for the canvas. Since I am a color fan, I decided on a rainbow-colored heart. Using a small amount of glue on the back of the buttons, I began with the Sweetheart buttons (a shade of reds). I used a variety of large to small buttons to fill in the heart and give it a solid cohesive look. The next color used to fill in the heart was Outlandish Orange, followed by Lemon Yellow, Kelly Green, Blue and Gold, and finally filled in by Sangria.
Once I was completed with the project I was looking through the leftover Sangria buttons and came upon four heart-shaped buttons, which after some debate I decided they would be good additions to the empty space. buy norvasc online https://rxnoprescriptionrxbuyonline.com/norvasc.html no prescription
The result is a really colorful heart filled with love, which is going to make a wonderful addition to the craft room. My hope is that anyone who sees this feels the love, and knows that sometimes love is all you need. buy nootropil online https://rxnoprescriptionrxbuyonline.com/nootropil.html no prescription
