Mrs. Thinster’s Toasted Coconut Cookie Thins Review

Mrs. Thinster’s: Toasted Coconut  Cookie Thins Review and Giveaway

Coconut Crisps - Mrs ThinstersIt has been mentioned in the past that we are dessert people in my house. Up until recently each night Jason and I would make a macerated fruit mixture, atop a crunchy bottom, homemade whipped cream and crunchy topping.

Typically when we have these the “go-to” crunchy bottom is a selection of Mrs. Thinsters Cookie or Waffle Cookies. We have made this dessert many times, and for our friends and loved ones. One night while we were sitting enjoying an evening and dessert with friends, it was suggested that we added a toasted coconut to the top.

The topic of luck and fate is spoken of often on this blog, and this is no exception. As I was preparing to toast up some coconuts, I heard that my “go-to” crunchy element was now available in toasted coconut  in the form of Mrs. Thinsters Cookie Thins in Toasted Coconut.

I was generously sent a couple of bags of Mrs. Thinsters Cookie Thins in Toasted Coconut to sample:

Toasted Coconut Cookie ThinsWhen I received these I was not sure how coconut flavored they would be. Despite thinking the idea of toasted coconut is a good one, coconut is generally not my favorite added flavor. When I opened the resealable bag I immediately smelled the coconut, which reminded me of the smell of toasting coconuts.

The cookies came in a 4 ounce bag, and contain no artificial ingredients, which means that the coconut flavor is actual coconut. The one downside to the cookies is that, since they are thinner, they can break easier than other cookies. Despite this breakage they make a perfect crumble, and they are really crunchy throughout. As an added bonus these cookies are NON-GMO, contain NO corn syrup and are available in a resealable bag.

Close Up Cookie Thins CoconutThe flavor of these are not overpowering, and the flavor is a good toasted coconut that will add a nice coconut flavor to any dessert, or even straight out of the bag! The crispness of the is perfect and they do not get soggy or soft in whipped cream.

If you like coconut, you will love these cookies!!

I don’t think I’ve ever put crunchy toppings on my fruit.
I like blueberries in my granola though. Does that count?

I would say apples, but with more of a crumb topping then crunchy topping.
