Cat Lady Box Monthly Subscription Review: January 2016

Cat Lady Box Monthly Subscription Review and Giveaway – January 2016

January 2016 Box ContentsJason and I love our cats, there is no denying this. If you were to pick up either of our phones there are more cat photos than human photos.

Our cats are these big personalities packed in little bodies. Murfee has a personality that mirrors my personality and Maggee mirrors Jason. Jason can roll with the punches, and is always calm and that describes our Maggee perfectly. Murfee is always on alert and jumps when he hears a loud noise – just like his human momma.

We have a lot of fun around here dissecting their personalities and comparing them to each of us and wondering what we are accurate about and what is just dreaming. We think they know their names, but really they know their tones, but I swear when they come up to us, they are conveying pure love. I am proud to be a cat mom to these two awesome little creatures, and tell them so each day.

This months Cat Lady Box was an ode to the “cat lady”. Each month the box is wonderfully put together and is “absolutely pawsome”. I say it every month and each month I mean it, each month it is just as good as the previous month, (see previous reviews here). The box exterior continues with the new box design and looked different then the previous printed and stamped versions. I loved being greeted by the black tissue paper and sticker, as I unfurled my package I was filled with excitement!

As it is each month, this months contents were catered to me and my feline companions and included the following:

Model and ShirtExclusive T-Shirt and Cat Beanie: This months box has two pieces of attire that I can wear to share my cat lady pride. I loved the shirt included in this months box and loved the statement on the back side. The shirt is called “Cats Are Love”, which is a limited-edition design. The hat included is a chunky knit hat that was made special for CatLadyBox. This is a dark charcoal yarn, is a soft knit wool blend and so soft. I love the ears on the top, in fact I might start greeting people with a meow or two.

Murfee and the CatnipOrganic Catnip Heart Pillow by Imperial Cat: This is a simple fabric square with a Velcro closure that is full of catnip. I have mentioned in the past my boy Murfee’s love is catnip. I can not express how much he loved playing with this toy – a good 20 minutes went by before i was able to capture the above moment.

CupcakeCatnip Cupcake by Loopies: This is an adorable cupcake that is full of catnip! Since Murfee got this last toy, this one went to Maggee. She was not as interested in it, but again, Murfee made up for that. The attention to detail in this cupcake is beyond adorable, I think it will be a kitchen decoration until Murfee decides to play with it.

Meow RingSilver Pawromise Ring by Design by Marlayna: This aluminum ring is individually hand-stamped. This ring is similar to a promise ring and helps you profess your love for cats.

Postcard – by Asra Rae: I loved this postcards and again, it reminded me of my girl Maggee. There is something in it that captures who she is, despite it not being her at all. Each month the postcard doubles as an art postcard and on its opposite side is a manifest listing the products contained in the box.

Included is each months box contains a postcard featuring a new cat print, and each month is different from the previous months. These sit in the inside of my kitchen cupboard with the eventual goal of a college frame of cats.

As most of these items are made special for CatLadyBox it is hard to locate them outside the box subscription. If I was able to locate the items, then I have included the links for you to possibly purchase them outside the box.

If I was able I would give this box to all of my cat loving friends I would – this box is a fun adventure for cat fans, and cat lady’s alike and most importantly never disappoints.

It is an added bonus to the cat community that each month 5% of profits go to cat rescues. Cat Lady Box also gives subscribers an opportunity to nominate an organization to be a beneficiary of Cat Lady Boxes generosity.

Also available are 1 month gift subscriptions, perfect for a cute and unique gift!

Bring me some turkey and make sure it’s fresh sliced from the deli.

If our Siamese could use words (because he’s already very chatty), he would demand to either go outside or that we move another cat that has his “spot”. LOL

  4. Debbie F

“Keep it down, I’m trying to sleep and I’ve only gotten 14 hours today so I’m exhausted!”
    😀

  5. GENA VIGGIANI

I AM PRETTY SURE ANY ONE OF MY THREE CATS FIRST WORD WOULD BE “SERIOUSLY”?

  7. Lisa

Their first words would be “Food”.. They understand it when I say it and get so excited so I think they would love to say it.

  8. Melanie

The first thing my youngest cat would say is, “Get rid of the puppy.”

The first thing my middle cat would say is, “Get me a new kitten.”

The first thing my old cat would say is, “Get rid of the other pets!”

  9. Angela Saver

Our cat’s words would definitely be, “Feed me more!” Thanks for the chance at this!

  10. Linda Bradshaw

Why do I have to ring the bell for you to let me out? You should know if I go over to the door, that means let me out! (Yes, I trained my cat to ring a bell hanging on the door to go outside. During the middle of the night, I can hear the bell ring and I have to get up and go in the living room to let him out!!)

  11. Nicole H.

His first words would be “feed me!” He’s already pretty vocal about it!

  12. wendi

i can see the bottom of my bowl and you have been 10 minutes later than usual on my breakfast LOL

  13. Sammantha D.

Oh I’d be hearing him complain the bowl isn’t full enough. That or he prefers a different flavor.

  14. Laura

One of ours would say “pay attention to me”. The other would say “put me down!”. 🙂

  15. ellen beck

Having 5 cats, I am sure a couple would say feed me, but the rest would say they don’t like the dog or they dont like one of the other cats. They all have very distinct personalities.

  16. Sherry Lambing

If our cats could talk they would say ” Scratch me here…a little lower…now to the left..”

  17. Ashley

“I NEED WATER” would be her first words. She’s obsessed with water, whether it’s in the sink, toilet, water dish, a water bottle… it’s quite ridiculous, honestly. Lol. But then again, she’s an almost 9 month old bengal/tiger mix

  18. Laurie Nykaza

My 4 cats would say Mama they follow me around all day talking to me and hate it when they cant find me when they wake up.

  19. Dana Rodriguez

I think my cat would say “Don’t stop petting me”

  20. Linda Meyers-Gabbard

We have 5 cats. 4 of them already talked to us in cat . If the spoke English it is hard to say what they would say. But I think a couple of them would say we were silky.

  21. Carla

“Give me what you’re eating, NOW!” (They already say that all the time, but in their own language!)

  22. Barbara

My cat would say, “From now on, we leave the faucet running.”

  23. Philip Lawrence

Why do you keep cleaning your hands on me by what you call petting?

  24. Eugenia Hall

Depends on which cat it was, if it was Kerry it would probably be ‘I love you Mommy”. If it was my feral baby Vandal it would be “Human, I require Noms”. The rest are a mixed bag between those two….
