Perfect Bar Review

I am a San Diego girl – I was raised here and I love it here, when I have moved I have always ended back here. An extension to my love of San Diego is I love to support San Diego based businesses like Perfect Bar.

Perfect Bar had its start in the family. As the children of a health and fitness man, Dr. Bud Keith’s children would sell Perfect Bar’s in the same manner as lemonade stands. The children had big dreams – to share this recipe with more than just family and friends. After their father got sick, and having 13 children to provide for, the eldest siblings got together and turned their bars into a real company. Unfortunately, their father passed, but taking those lessons and words and making them into action is what the goal of the children are now. The siblings know that it is not just one thing that goes into a “Perfect Bar”, but a compilation of many things.

Perfect Bar are Non-GMO and not only do they verify prior to making the bars, but they also test the finished product. The Perfect Bar is always gluten-free and contains over 20 organic super foods (such as kale, spinach, alfalfa and celery to name a few). Using organic honey as a sweetener, the complete carbohydrate helps maintain energy levels. These are different bars as they are refrigerator stable for 9 months due to the natural preservatives in honey.The low glycemic flavors use organic dates as sweeteners, and NEVER use refined sugars.

I was sent a Sample Pack that contained one of each of their flavors and included:

Peanut Butter Bar and Mini Peanut Butter Bar: The regular size bar has 17g of whole food protein, and the mini has 5g of whole food protein. The regular bar contains 84% organic ingredients and the mini has no refined sugar and is soy free. The best way I can describe the taste of this bar was imagine compacted peanut butter in a bar. The bar had a mild sweetness to it, and honestly I am a peanut butter lover so i thought this bar hit the right taste buds. I will say that the big bar seemed to be a lot of peanut butter but the mini was the perfect amount.

Carob Chip: This regular size bar has 16g of whole food protein and .contains 78% organic ingredients. This bar is a combinations of organic peanut butter, sweet carob chips, organic honey and a super food combination that includes kale, spinach and celery to name a few. The first taste I got from this bar was peanut butter and honey, and I tasted the carob as more of after taste.

Fruit & Nut: This regular size bar has 16g of whole food protein and uses 82% organic ingredients. This bar is organic peanut butter, organic honey, raisins, walnuts and a 20+ super food mixture that includes organic apple, organic pumpkin seeds and organic rose hip to name a few. I tasted the fruits and nuts prominently and this was flavorful.

Almond Butter Bar and Mini Almond Butter Bar: The regular size bar has 13g of whole food protein, and the mini has 4g of whole food protein. This is a simple bar of organic almond butter, organic honey, nonfat milk as well as a 20+ super food combination that includes organic apple, organic papaya and organic lemon to name a couple.

Cranberry Crunch: This regular size bar has 9g of whole food protein and it one of the “lite” bars. This bar contains 86% organic ingredients that include peanut butter, organic honey, organic cranberries, crispy puffed rice and 20+ super foods that include organic apples, organic orange and organic spinach. My favorite part of this bar was the rice crispies included that added a nice crunch.

Almond Coconut: This regular size bar has 8g of whole food protein and this contains no dairy and no eggs and is the first vegan bar that has 100% organic ingredients. Creamy organic Almond Butter is combine with dates, cranberries, coconut as well as the 20+ super foods that include organic apples, organic orange and organic lemon. I am not huge coconut fan, so this bar had one strike against it already.

Almond Acai: This regular size bar has 7g of whole food protein and contains 86% organic ingredients. This is made from organic almond butter, organic honey, organic Acai, lightly crispy puffed rice and 20+ super foods that include organic apples, organic orange and organic spinach.

Also used in each bar is dried whole food powders combination that include organic kale, organic flax seed, organic rose hip, organic orange, organic lemon, organic papaya, organic tomato, organic apple, organic alfalfa, organic kelp, organic dulse, organic carrot and organic spinach.

These bars started with a simple image and simple thoughts and has grown into a health conscious, family run company in America’s Finest City. I encourage you to head to the refridgerator section of your favorite store and pick up a couple!.

I have tried these and they are FABULOUS!!! I would eat these EVERY DAY !! The peanut butter is awesome!! Would live to try them all! Fingers crossed! ??
