Fit Snack Monthly Subscription – April Box Review
The thing I like the most about being a review blogger is the fact that I get to constantly try new things. This concept is overall new to me, as I have always been very brand loyal and not really open to trying new items. The shift occurred when I realized that if I did not expand my palette I might be missing out on something i would otherwise love. I am happy to say that at least once a week I discover a new “must have” and am constantly looking for new things I can not live without.
The bonus about monthly subscription boxes are that each month there is the great possibility that I will find a new must have. Fit Snack was generous enough to send me box and I could not wait to share it with you all. The box is a bright teal, and branded on the front for instant visual confirmation of what you have received. The contents were packed like a tetris game and all arrived safe.
Each box contains between 6-9 items, as well as a couple informational cards. On one side of this months card had an exercise to help get the beach abs women crave this time of the year, and on the other side is the list of what is in the box – the manifest. Also included are a couple other fliers elaborating on information or offers contained in the box.
The items that were contained in the box are listed below:
Fiona’s Natural Foods Trail Mix – $5.99 : We are fans of trail mix in our house! The trail mix included in this months box contained raisins, raw peanuts, raw sunflower seeds, raw almonds, dried cranberries, raw pumpkin chocolate and cocoa butter. This trail mix is derived from a family recipe from the 1960’s and still holds up healthy today.
Go Raw Cookies – $1.25 : We received the Choco Crunch Sprouted Cookies, These are dark cookies tasted like toasted coconut. The ingredients included cacao, coconut and dates. There was no real distinct chocolate taste which would had made them sweeter.
Svelte Shake Protein Drinks – $1.16 : We received the chocolate flavored USDA Certified Organic protein shake. This was a lot thicker then I thought it would be and is gluten and dairy free. I tried it straight out of the container and then took 1/2 in the fridge to cool down. I would recommend cooling this down before drinking it. It was somewhere between a shake and a milk consistency.
D-Fine 8 Powder – $2.00 : We received 3 flavors of this powder being lemon, raspberry and fruit punch. The instructions stated to mix the powder with 1/2 cup of water. These are sweetened with Stevia and the Stevia flavor is prominent.
Beanfields Chips – $.52 : These chips are made from black beans, navy beans and rice. The have no gluten, no GMO’s, no corn, no peanuts or seeds and have 4g of complete protein. The Pico de Gallo flavor created crunchy mildly spice chips that are really tasty and flavorful.
Barney Butter Almond Butter – $1.25 : Let’s be honest for a moment, Almond Butter is taking over the shelves and pushing peanut butter off the forever desired shelf space. After tasting this creamy butter I understand why, this was smooth and creamy alternative to peanut butter and was really good on a toasted English muffin..
Rani’s Nutrafoods Rani’s Yummy – $1.99 : This was a hidden treasure in the box and by far a yummy treat. The color was a wonderful golden brown and was cinnamon heavy. This would have been great on french toast like the package recommends.
Burlap Sack – $5.00: This measures about 12×20 and was a complete surprise in my box. This makes perfect storage for my many recyclable bags that we are slowly accumulating (they outlawed the use of plastic bags in our area).
Fit Snack boxes are available in 4 different monthly options:
- 1 month/$17.90
- 3 months/$16.90
- 6 months/$15.90 + 1 free mystery item
- 12 months/$13.90 + 3 free mystery items
- Each box costs a flat $6.00 that covers shipping and handling.
The total value of this box is $19.16, which is based on costs of same or comparable items.
I love the constant flow of new and familiar products that Fit Snack provides and I would recommend anyone to give it a try – I know you will find at least one “must have” of your own.
