Herbs Frozen – Dorot Crushed Garlic, Chopped Basil and Crushed Ginger – A Review & Giveaway

As I have mentioned in the past, I am starting down the path of home cooking. Admittedly I am not very good, but I try hard and most of my food is edible.
The one complaint that I hear frequently and often is that there is not enough flavor. There is a clear reason for this .. I am concerned about overdoing the amount of herbs and seasoning I use. Lately while grocery shopping each week, I have noticed that there is a pre-measured and easy to use herbs without fear of over herbing our meal. These cooking herb helpers come from Dorot Gardens, and we recently received some to try out in our meals.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Dorot Gardens. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
I received a trio of frozen herbs for our meals, I will give you a spoiler – I loved them all!

The first flavor I used was the Crushed Garlic since that is the one herb that I am least fearful of overall. The garlic cubes were easy to use, and the square of garlic was the ideal amount. I think that this would be a great way to add garlic to sauces and mixes!

The second flavor was a Chopped Basil, which made our spaghetti an easy herb filled treat. Again, the flavor was perfect and it was not overboard in anyway.

The final flavor was the Crushed Ginger which since we are just now really tapping into the possibilties of ginger in cooking, I was curious to add this to my chicken. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor, and my husband thought I chopped ginger up myself.
Each of these are in pre-measured frozen squares and each package has 16Â individual squares in each package! The packages are small enough that they fin almost anywhere in your freezer (mine are in the door) and do not take up much space. This is an easy and flavorful way to get your herbs!
