Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: April 2017 Review

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: April 2017 Review

When Spring arrives in California, so does beach and picnic weather. I live only about 1/4 mile from the beach, and have many local and beautiful parks near me. When the sun is shining there is nothing better than packing a lunch (carne asada burritos are popular in my home) and going to have a picnic.

When I received this months box, I was thrilled to see a couple of items that will enhance our future picnics. The theme for the April Peaches and Petals box theme was “Fun in the Sun” and I was happy to see each item fit within that theme.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Jammin Butter/Peaches & Petals. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own. Prices listed are subject to change without notice.

Peaches and Petals is a monthly box described as a box that caters to ‘fun, flirty, fashionable vintage and modern lifestyles’. I have found that it really applies to a broader spectrum, and almost any woman would enjoy this box.

When you subscribe each month you will receive 3-5 items that have been hand selected personally by the Peaches and Petals team. The included items can range from books, household items, beauty items, gift items and are usually loosely based within a monthly box theme. There can be other items included, depending on the box and theme for the month.

The April 2017 box included the following within the “Fun in the Sun” theme including:

Occasionally Made Booty Buddy Mat and Insulated Can Coozie: This is a neoprene mat that is perfect  pool, beach or picnic accessory that keeps your rear from getting wet and sandy. It measures 22 inches x 16 inches flat and rolls up for easy storage. It’s also waterproof and machine washable. Also included was a coordinated cup holder that matches this mat perfect.

Alterna Bamboo Anti-Humidity Hair Spray: My hair suffers from humidity by frizzing out, and looking unkept. This smoothing formula did calm my hair a bit but being so close to the beach it is an uphill battle.

Purple and White Shell Rug: This is a cute 100% cotton rug and measures 25″ x 23″. I can not honestly tell you if this is a mat, rug or a soft surface to sit on. I plan to keep this in the back of our new SUV and use this when we make stops at sunset.

VioLife 3 Piece Cosmetic Bag Set: This is a set of 3 coordinating cosmetic/travel bags featuring a green and white color scheme with palm trees. The smallest bag measures approximately 6 1/2” x 5”, the medium is 8″ x 5 1.4”, and the large is 9 1/4” x 6 1/4”. The bottom of each bag expands to allow for space to hold your beach/travel and picnic essentials.

Overall this months boxes contents were useful, and all the items will be used. As always this box is always interesting and you never know what you will get and this month we got items to make our outings a bit more comfortable.

I got this box for several months and then the price jumped up. I was already iffy about the box to I discontinued my subscription. I received too many cheep things like an umbrella that broke on first use.

Really.. I am sorry to hear that, although I have heard mixed things about it for the past couple month on other posts.
