One of my favorite soaps to use is castile soap. This is one of the most gentle, most versatile and adaptable soaps that is made.

When I was young and first introduced to the miracle of castile soap. My father shared that there was a gentle soap that I could use that would not irritate my skin. I inquired how he had this previously unknown to me, piece of knowledge. After a small chuckle and an exhale, he sahred with me that yes this was common knowledge.

One of my favorite activities of last year was attending the Natural Products Expo because with my attendance I discovered companies I would not have discovered otherwise. One of these such companies was Dr. Jacob Naturals, and since then I have been actively watching the social media. Recently I saw that they have released a set of exfoliating bar soaps, I was eager to try them.

I was sent the following 5 – 5oz bars of soap by Dr. Jacobs Naturals soaps for review:

Luscious Lavender Loofah Exfoliating Castile Bar Soap – The first thing that I noticed about this soap was the lavender scent! The floral tone on this was decidedly lavender but not overboard.

Minty Cucumber Mojito Loofah Exfoliating Castile Bar Soap – I was excited to smell this and I can tell you that I was not let down. The first smell was the cucumber followed by a mint smell.

Citrus Crush Cocktail Loofah Exfoliating Castile Bar Soap – I did not know what to expect with the scent, but what I did get was a citrus smell first and then more citrus. I also LOVED this smell and it was probably my favorite.

Lucy Rose Loofah Exfoliating Castile Bar Soap – The first and only smell that I got from this was rose. If you are a fan of the rose scent than you will love this bar of soap.

Coco Loco Limeade Loofah Exfoliating Castile Bar Soaps – The lime scent was strong with this one and it was beyond pleasant. Once the lime settles down then you get a mild chocolate scent which smells very good.

One of my favorite things about the soaps of Dr. Jacobs is that all of f Dr. Jacobs Soaps are Non-GMO, contain no artificial dyes or coloring, they contain no palm oil, sulfates or parabens. As an added bonus they are also gluten-free and made here in the USA.

These soaps are packaged in simple paper packaging that is decorative and visual of the smell of the soap. In addition each of these soaps contain simple ingredients such as Water, Saponified Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Olive Oil, Retained Glycerin, Sea Salt, Peppermint Oil, Citric Acid, Vitamin-E and Fragrance (in the form of Essential Oils).

I am forever grateful to my father for this piece of advice, and introducing me to my favorite simple soap base – castile. Give Dr. Jacobs Naturals a try and discover your new favorite soap and soap company!
