Holiday Parade: A Christmas Adult Coloring Book Review

Holiday Parade: A Christmas Adult Coloring Book Review and Giveaway

holiday-parade-adult-coloring-book-giveawayWhen I think of parades, there are two holidays that come to mind. The first is July 4th and the independence and the second is the Christmas.

Each year there is an annual parade in the county I live in and even the water there are holiday parades. There is something magical about seeing the snowmen, the Santa’s and the reindeer. My favorite is the colors and the lights, and the decorations. The moving images bring the holiday season to life in a very positive and happy way.

When I received a copy of Holiday Parade: A Christmas Adult Coloring Book by Blue Star Coloring I thought of the holiday season that is brought to life in a magical way.

Let say that the products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Blue Star Publishing. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Holiday Parade: A Christmas Adult Coloring Book by Blue Star Coloring contains over 24 images from 24 different illustrators that are all reminders of a parade of the holidays.

holiday-parade-4As I have mentioned in previous Blue Star reviews, the book, does not lie flat, but does not affect the function of the book. If you open the book wide and press down on the interior spine you will be able to crack the binding. Otherwise the book will not stay open on it’s own and a weight on the non coloring side would be helpful. This is not a reason to bot get the book and honestly the worst that happens is that it makes coloring a little more challenging. and this in no way affects the book.

If you want to remove the pages please note that the book is bound similar to traditional books, so take care when removing the pages. I use my typical recommendation which is to be cautious when tearing or removing the page or use a cutting device such as scissors or a craft knife to get the page out since the images are close to the edges. Many of the pages cut close to the binding so take extra care when removing pages.

holiday-parade-3I would recommend placing a piece of paper under the page to be colored to avoid bleeding through to other pages. This also will assist in the prevention of creating impressions on the following pages from pressing down to hard – which I am guilty of.

holiday-parade-4I loved this coloring book, and loved the reminder of the upcoming holiday season. Each image will remind you of a different aspect of the holidays.

Detroit does a big Thanksgiving parade. I used to go to it when I was little; but now I don’t want to sit outside in the cold. No thanks!

The City of Grand Rapids has a parade but we haven’t went in many years.

Yes, we usually have a Chritsmas parade in the downtown area of our town. I haven’t been in a few years. I might go this year depending on the date.

I do not have a holiday parade nearby. But sometimes a town about 20 minutes away from me does have one.

We have a Christmas Parade down town every year and we do go.

Yes, we have a holiday parade. I haven’t been to see it in person in about 10 years. I do watch it on TV, though.

We do have a holiday parade every year, but we have not been in a few years. It is hard to make it on Thanksgiving Day.

Every little community and small town near me has a holiday parade. When my children was little, I would try to go to all of them. Now my children are grown. Unless one of my grandchildren will be in the parade, I don’t go.
