InstaNaturals Lemon and Peppermint Essential Oil Review
I have heard a lot about Essential Oils the past couple months. I have friends and family who sell the oils, and who espouse the benefits to all that will listen. I, on the other hand, am a very skeptical person and typically do not buy into the latest purchasing fads. I had the opportunity come across my screen to review InstaNaturals Lemon and Peppermint Essential Oils and despite my aforementioned skepticism I figured I would step outside my typical comfort zone and try this newest craze overtaking my social media feeds.
I received 4oz bottles each of InstaNatural’s Lemon and Peppermint Essential Oils. The Peppermint has a fresh mint scent and the Lemon smells fresh and sweet. These are concentrated high quality oils, therefore a little goes a long way.
The Peppermint is a steam distilled oil extraction from either dried or fresh leaves from the Mentha Piperita herb – which gives the oil the menthol/mint fragrance.
The Lemon oil is extracted from a cold press oil from the lemon rinds of the lemon.
The uses of essential oils is abundantly available on-line, and on many social media pages, but I thought I would share a couple of my favorites. It is also fair to note that the concentrated nature of these oils make them versatile for any purpose.
Lemon:
- Place 2-3 drops in with water in a spray bottle to help cleanse and sanitize surfaces
- Place 2-3 drops on a cotton ball and place in your refrigerator or trash can to eliminate odors
- Place 2-3 drops in a bowl of water to wash strawberries.
Peppermint:
- Rub one drop on the temples, forehead, over the sinuses (careful to avoid contact with your eyes), and on the back of the neck to relieve head pressure.
- Place 2 drops on the tongue and rub another drop of oil under the nose to help improve concentration and alertness.
- Apply to the back of the neck and shoulders throughout the day to keep energy up
I plan on purchasing more oils in the future, and I have found they do at the very least make my house smell lemon fresh.
- Here is a bonus use for the Lemon Essential Oil: Lemon oil is a de-gummer, if you have gum in your hair drop a few drops on the gum and it should ease gum removal.
