Open Road Snacks: Rocky Mountain Popcorn Review and Giveaway

Open Road Snacks Rocky Mountain PopcornWhen I say what is the most popular snack food, what comes to mind? I know for me I began thinking items like crackers, cookies or jerky. I was surprised to learn that it was popcorn.

When I began giving this some serious thought I realized that there are many reasons why this simple snack is the most popular. The first is that it is naturally gluten-free which makes for a safe snack for those gluten intolerant. There are many ways that it can be flavored from sweet to savory.

Rocky Mountain Popcorn is a product from Open Road Snacks takes the most popular snack of popcorn and making a sweet and savory snack that will satisfy any taste.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Open Road Snacks.. This post may contain affiliate links, but this in no way influences the review to follow.

I was generously sent a box of Rocky Mountain Popcorn in the following flavors of White Cheddar, Sriracha, Cheddar Bacon, Butter, Kettle, Jalapeno, Caramel and Naked to sample.

White Cheddar

White Cheddar (1.5oz) – One of the BEST white cheddars I have had in a while. This had the perfect distribution of cheddar, and did not leave a cheddar residue on my hands.

SrirachaSriracha (1.4oz) – I will be honest and tell you that me and Sriracha Sauce recently made acquaintances with each other. I have discovered that it is a nice sauce that s bite is dependent on how much sauce is applied. As it turns out it also works on popcorn with a mild bite, but lots of flavor.

Cheddar BaconCheddar Bacon (1.5oz) – I love cheddar, I love bacon, how could I not love this as a combination on popcorn. The first flavor that you taste is the cheddar and then the bacon hits your pallet at the end. This was sooo good, and gone before I knew I had ruined my dinner appetite – well worth it!

Butter PopcornButter (1.5oz) – If you have ever had fresh movie theater butter popcorn, then you know the flavor of this butter popcorn. This could not have been more buttery, it was all around well coasted and yummy. As an added bonus this did not leave to much of a residue on my hands, which made it a cleaner snack.

PicMonkey CollageKettle (2oz) – Kettle popcorn is normally overly sweet, and can be a little much but this was the perfect combination of popcorn and sweetness. I loved this and wished there was more when I got to the end – it was that good!

Jalapeno PopcornJalapeno (1.5oz) – I am not usually a fan of spicy Jalapeno but this did not have to bad of a flavor. Jason is a fan of spicy and like he said “if the worse flavor is still excellent than you found a company doing something right” – I think that sums it up!

Caramel PopcornCaramel (4.5oz) – I love caramel popcorn and this is one of my new favorites! This had a real Caramel bite to it, and each piece was evenly and adequately coated. This was a sweet popcorn and I divided it up into two sittings, although I could have eaten it all in one sitting. So sweet and so good.

Naked PopcornNaked (1.1oz) – Having a naked popcorn could normally really leave with you with a bland popcorn – this was anything but! This has a minor saltiness and the popcorn had a nice crunch.

Each flavor of Rocky Mountain Popcorn is gluten-free, all natural, nut free and Non-GMO, which makes for a healthy snack every taste bud and craving.
