Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review and Giveaway – March 2016
As the months “march” on with Meadow, things are starting to fall into a nice rhythm for my father. I will be honest and say that when my father adopted Meadow I was unsure how he would do with the randomness a 9 week old puppy can bring.
The question has been raised about why I had such a concern. I will be honest and say that I know my father appreciates his sleep and even when I was a child he hated to be woken up. I knew that as Meadow adjusted to her new surroundings there would be an adjustment period for my father as well.
As time is showing us, as Meadow matures, the nighttime wake-up and barking are becoming less and less of an issue. Meadow now sleeps through the night and she does wake up early and wants to be let out, and these are met with smiles and acceptance. I am very happy to say she is becoming a happy and well-behaved best friend for my father.
I will be honest when I say that my favorite time of the month is when I receive the Pet Treater box. I love this time of month because I love to see Meadow’s progress and growth. I only live about 10 minutes from my furry sister, and I love she is so close. I have also learned the longer I am away, the more advanced she seems when I do see her again.
I can honestly say that each Pet Treater review is as good, and even better than the one before. Meadow is growing and, as such, I reviewed the medium dog box. For the month of March 2016 Meadow received a very thoughtfully curated luck themed box that maintained a the theme of “You Lucky Dog”. Within this theme, is also a request to pledge to share the love of Pet Treater with your fellow dog guardians!
Here is a breakdown of the items that were in my/Meadow’s March Pet Treater box:
Hedgehog: I speak often of luck and coincidence on this blog and this toy is a great example of this – my father and Meadow were at the pet store about a week ago and of all the available toys she chose a hedgehog. At the time my father decided against this particular toy since she has so many toys already. Coincidentally, the hedgehog included in this months box was her coveted hedgehog – both Meadow and my father were excited.
Wags and Wiggles Polish – This was initially left out of the box and instead of skipping it for the month,I received a USPS package with these wipes and the enclosed note. I actually got this item before I got the box. I appreciated that they cared enough to send these to be included in the box. Meadow is a fairly well-groomed dog and goes to the puppy parlor every couple of weeks but enjoys her grass time with her friend Noodles.
Pur Luv Chews – Chicken Flavor: The training of Meadow continues as does the bribing of treats for tricks. Meadow seems to enjoy chewy treats, and she loved the previous Pur Luv treats so I am confident she will also enjoy these when she gets to try them. As of now, she has a nice collection of treats and it has been decided that these will be held until the stock dwindles a bit.
Meadow and her Lucky Dog Bandana: I am confident that despite her young age Meadow knows the human response when she is pretty and responds appropriately. When I placed the bandana on her she immediately started running around the house and when she did sit, it was proudly. I love that she is gather a seasonal and holiday themed bandana collection – my father loves to make her seasonally appropriate.
Happy Tails – Tuff: If Meadow looks apprehensive in the photos it is because she was, and it was my fault, sadly. I had taken the tags off the toy and since she was showing an interest in the toy I decided I would let her play with it. I took her to the middle of the yard tossed the toy towards her and instead of moving, it thonked her on her snout. I tried again and she avoided me and the toy – according to my father, almost a week later she is still super apprehensive about the idea of this toy. Whoops!
Emmy’s Gourmet Canine Creations: These are the gourmet version of dog treats which made these the perfect thank you gift for Meadow’s Best Puppy Pal Noodles. Recently my father was out of the house for the day, and being Meadow is still young, he wants her to be acclimated to people so he found a babysitter for her. As luck often is, there is another Laberdoodle a couple of houses away whose owner was more than happy to add Meadow to her daily routine. This made the perfect thank you, and ensured more Meadow/Noodle adventures in the future.
Banana Seal – Medium: These are a bag sealers which is perfect for food for a puppy that is experimenting with different foods. Again I mention luck, because as I arrived with the box my father was looking for a storage seal for Meadow’s newest food – timing is everything. Needless to say my father was thrilled
Treats for Human and Dog: Each month Pet Treater includes a present for the guardian of the animal. This month was a set of 4 – Green Micro-Fiber Dish Cloths. I hate the bring up the timing again but I literally was in the middle of going through my sheets and towels when I received this box. I have already put them into the rotation of use and I love them. They wash easily in the washer and are a nice size at 12″ x 12″.
