Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review and Giveaway – February 2016

February 2016 Pet Treater BoxI was raised by a single father and I have always been the princess in the family – that was up until about 3 months ago. We had a new family member join our family that has taken the role of princess.

The addition I am referring to is of Meadow, my father’s Australian Laberdoodle. I am lucky that i live only about 10 minutes from the newly crowned girl. I love to give her toys and watch her excitement – what strikes me each time is many times she has not idea what I am about to give her but her excitement says otherwise. A box that allows me to give her these presents she so deserves is Pet Treater. It is obvious when you receive a Pet Treater box that they are continuing to distinguishing themselves in the pet box field.

While this is not my first Pet Treater review, each one is equally awesome. Since Meadow is still growing and as the previous boxes I reviewed the medium dog box. I received a very thoughtfully curated football themed box that was “pawsome” with a cute theme of “Love is a Four-Legged Word”. With the cute theme, is also a request to pledge to share the love of Pet Treater!

Here is a breakdown of the items that were in my/Meadow’s February Pet Treater box:

Blue Toy with MeadowHugglehounds Sole Toy: This was a blue to that reminded me of the Cookie Monster. I was thrilled that Meadow loved it so much. The only issue was that the fur started coming off around the house which would create a mess after a while. The result of this is that my two cats now have a new toy to bunny kick and cuddle against.

Fur Ever with MeadowMeadow and her Fur Ever Pillow: Meadow loved this plushie from the moment she saw it and it squeaks, which she loves. I tossed this back and forth to her about 50 times and I was tired before she was. She finally crashed on the couch with the toy and fell asleep!

Natures Recipe and Pur LuvNatures Recipe and Pur Luv Strips: If I were to say one thing about Meadow I would say that she is a food motivated dog. Right now she is in the process of learning to stay despite there being a treat right in front of her – I would say she has about a 60% success rate, but for a 6 month old dog, not bad. Meadow loved both bags of treats are will be very enjoyed by her.

Meadow as JulietMeadow and her Juliet Bandana: This was beyond adorable, and not only announces the little princesses true identity, it was branded with the Pet Treater name! I LOVED this and I know Meadow knew she was special when wearing it!

Dinosaur ToyHuggleHounds: Meet Tony the Pony who is a simple plastic toy of which Miss Meadow is very fond of. I liked that this was able to be thrown, and is able to be washed off if she gets it dirty (nothing worse than dirty toys in a clean house). This is 100% natural, non-toxic, and flexible. I would probably advise against letting your dog gnaw on it, to prevent a hole or two from appearing, but by all means play.

Natural Dog Biscuits togetherCaroline Biscuit Company: These Vegan & Grain Free treats are in cute love themed hearts. These treats contain chickpea flour, organic flax seeds, parsley, olive oil, organic veggie stock and organic tocophereois. I was not sure how Meadow would like these, but other than the crumble they created she liked them. I love seeing pure ingredient lists that are good enough for a human to eat!

Blanket and Book for humanTreats for Human and Dog: What is better than a cuddle with a Fleece Blanket, a book about the wisdom of dogs called Wise Dogs and your best friend? Nothing, I loved this combination and thought it was a nice addition to the box.  I think this would be a perfect gift for a pet-sitter or a welcome home gift for a new dog friend.

Pet Treater is a monthly subscription box service that has your dog in mind. Basically each month they treat your best friend with quality times that you and your dog will love. The boxes generally include a treat’s, interactive toy’s as well as surprise for the human! The most exciting part is that each box is different depending on the breed and size of your dog – and while there is a difference you can expect to receive a box comparable to the one I am showing you here.

Both of our dogs are rescues. One the SPCA has found wondering the streets, the other we found wondering the streets. I thing they would both say, “Thank you for helping us.”
I would hope that they would also tell us how they came to be homeless and wondering the streets.

  7. Linda Szymoniak

What my pets would say would depend on which one was talking. One of my dogs, Kyoko, would say “Feed me!” Our cat, Arata, would say “Where’s the red dot?” My senior dog, Suki, who has gotten quite senile, would talk gibberish.
